what is the difference between working a math problem and, say...playing a piano piece?.
the math problem has a correct answer.
getting close to the correct answer is simply called being wrong.. music, on the other hand, can have a wide range of expression not easily judged to be "wrong".
God is a not a good communicator and he doesn't want us to really know the answers to life!

a customer on my route with whom i have had some lively debates was his number 1 complaint is that "the witnesses have so many rules".
last month i agreed with on this issue.
he asked why the change, i told him that i have been doing some soul searching.
Terry...
This is a very insightful comment! I am also someone who has had to deal with as a awaken adult.

worse than being stupid is thinking you are smart while you are stupid.. i should know.. for many years i was a special category of "stupid"; i was jehovah's witness stupid.. .
what does that entail?
listen and i'll tell you.. ___________________________________________________________.
There are in it to win it or die trying.
Like sad gamblers laying their rent money on the roulette wheel's spin--the JEHOVAH'S WITNESS STUPID person will go down swinging....to their dark and lonely grave.....poor and defeated and--worst of all........ confident to the end of how smart they were!
when i first was appointed as an elder, i could not wait to be on a judicial committee.
it semed like most hearings invovled middle age men and women cheating on their mates because either they had married early or felt that were being neglected by their mate.
most times i felt i need to take a long hot shower after a hearing.. the toughest part was seeing these sweet young children grow up in "the truth", and now you are about to judge their future based on their repentance.
I am not in a good kind mood now...so forgive me...but once u become an elder and have the shepherd hand book, and are using it in place of the bible, the red flags were flashings and they were ignored! Especially when someone said: show me in the Bible the point u r trying to make. Was your replied the WT Article says this..? If so, then YOU CONSTITUTED YOUESELF an enemy of God! You can try and excuse your actions for following orders...but u should of known better...that's why u chose to be in that position, because u said u did. The word of god says u are more accountable in the position you strived for.
But hey you were brain washed, under mind control RIGHT? So try and right the wrongs that u committed and maybe all will go well with u! If u can, if not move on an correct your viewpoint. I know I have to!
Many here share responsibablity for misleading people or judging others wrongly! Lets learn from our mistakes!

telling you what something isn't is the opposite of telling you what it is.. identification consists of verifying language.
yet, those who speak of god have a tough time of it!.
are descriptions and information about god useful or is it gibberish?.
Ok then, good pionts Terry...what he isn't is a good communicator, or loving...why? because he doesn't apply his own teachings to himself!
If he was what is his attributes would suggest we wouldn't be in this deplorable state.
Look around, what do you see?
Edited to add: I now think there is a creator but not what I was thought as to be a loving god. When more determinable evidence is available I may change my mind...but not until then.

i'm sure you're all getting bored by my discussion of the recent 2013 flooding in southern alberta and flood insurance but as you can imagine it's on everyone's mind here right now.. the latest issue in the news now is price gouging and overcharging after a natural disaster.. some claim to have been overcharged by people profiteering after the floods.. some of the cases seem like misunderstandings - if you go to a 7/11 that normally sells bottled water individually and you want to buy a whole flat of it, i don't think you should suddenly expect costco prices for it.. but others do seem like they are taking advantage ... or are they?.
one could argue that high prices will smooth out demand and prevent greedy people from stockpiling more than they need that they may otherwise buy and hoard.. isn't it the ultimate manifestation of free-market economics, sullply and demand to set the price?
capitalism at work?.
One more thing...if you pay more for your products to be delivered then charge accordingly this in NOT price gouging. However if your price did not go up and you charge more, then your are an opportunist:
You have become part of the problem that needs removed like a malignant tumor!

So let me get this straight....if u need something to survive, I should be able to charge u a price that most cannot afford? Like water? pay my price or do with out= --DIE?

Should u shop at Good Will after knowing what they pay some misfortuned ones versus what the few elite (minority) make? I know we will not give to them anymore after the "truth" about how little some of the most vulnerable make that work there! We will find another way to help individuals.
