  i know this article has been discussed, re-hashed upside down in past threads.

  but there were at least 2 points i discovered in here that i felt were pertinent and important to bring out concerning the total control and narcissistic tendencies that these wt leaders possess on the governing body, i.e.

  alleged " faithful slave " .

  Points well taken and correct...hard to dispute. As a matter of fact they cannot be, at least with any evidence. Now what? What do we do with this info?

  For many that are awaken it help solidifies what we know.

  To break the hold that the GB and the Org are Gods chosen ones is very hard to break for those still captive!

  I know... for me I still was a believer even when I knew they were way off base on many teachings. Even saying "they are wrong but they are still Gods chosen ones".

  However, when I was able to see they weren't, things really fell apart. Then there was no turning back!

  Question about "millions now living will never die"

  okay, so the other day someone posted something about the talk in 1918 givin by rutherford (also released in pamplet and the talk repeated numerous times through 1924) titled "the world has ended, millions now living will never die".

  when looked up on the watchtower library, numerous times the talk is sometimes referred to as "millions now living will never die" and also "millions now living may never die".

  my question is there some honest explanation as to why some times it would read "will" and other times read "may"?

  I'm at a loss as why this is allowed...the only thing at this moment I can say as to why is...the Government (those in control) do not care as long as it doesn't cause them problems and keeps people in submission.

  Otherwise it should or would be stopped in its tracks!

  • However I feel the INTERNET will help...but desperate people will always be persuaded to believe things that will resolve their problems...

  • Look at politicians, they can convince people to believe they have the answers and then fail...BUT people forget and vote for the next one with similar promises...

  No one is held accountable! Desperate people are always there for the picker!

  i know my grandma isn't going to call me like she does every year to say she is happy i was born.

  "if you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things.

  because all the evidence in fulfillment of bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years... therefore, as a young person, you will never fulfill any career that this system offers.

  • this is a topic I started with the 1969 WT bound volume I have...the above link has the page showing this article. No getting around it when it's in print!

  Yes lives were lost and many are too old to really regain their lives back!

  So I Went back to my old Kingdom Hall Today...

  ...because it's now an art gallery.. it was really strange to have a look around the building and see what they have done with it.

  a lot of the old kh features are still there.

  they have kept the old platform, it gets used as a music venue on occasions.. i went up on the platform and faced the hall to bring back memories of the hundreds of times i stood there giving talks.. they have quite a few of the old chairs and the magazine/literature counter is still there but it has been moved beside the stage and painted.. all those huge windows have been restored and the place is full of light.. you can see a lot of pictures at their website, they have called it "the berwick watchtower".. the owner asked my wife and i if it was our first visit - hahaha.

  as october 22, 1844 slowly faded into october 23 a great weeping swept the countryside as 50,000 true believers in the accuracy of william miller's.

  prediction (of christ's return to earth) faced the stark reality of total soul-crushingly great disappointment.. .

  how had they come to this bizarre conclusion and what would they now face by way of recrimination and disconfirmation?.

  Thanks Terry for this in depth following of these teachings...what's behind door #3?

  It's sad to think if there is a loving God that he would allow this confusion (lack of understanding) to go on...and that he would create humans so in need of understanding they "grope about" searching for someone to explain it!

  Don't pray anymore and have not for a few years...after I realized that He does not help feed the poor, heal the sick, or anything you ask him for.

  For instance I use to thank him for our food, shelter and everything else...but he was not providing it...if he was then why was he neglecting to provide the basic to those who were dying? Many of them were and are asking for help...but death greets them first!
