Ladies: were you often left to deal with the children at assemblies/meetings?

I agree too! It's too long for adults never mind children. I gotta say to my son's credit he was really easy at the assemblies so I'm the one who was always suggesting that he need a walk, a drink or to go to the bathroom. That was my way of not sitting all day. Needless to say he was very thirsty, walked a lot and always had to go!
I do think that it's bs that the women are supposed to take the brunt of taking care of the kids. I knew moms that would have nervous breakdowns by the time the day ended.

Welcome Red Piller! Thank you for sharing your story. It's a familiar one to me as well! Only my husband is not sitting on the fence - he's choosing them so far. Ahhh! Certainly infuriating once you find out you've wasted so much time in a lie. Take your time digesting things and please do keep quiet with others. You just never know who will turn you in. a tremendous amount of knowledge, wisdom, great debate, and lol humor, which is good for the soul.. i am not a jw, but the borg infected my family years ago, many are still trapped, and i have 2 big shot elders.. i became a huge opposer/apostate and had many a battle.
today we have learned to live in peace...live and let live.. recently, i decided to get up to date with everything jw... i often wonder why my family can't see or figure out the real truth.

Welcome braveheart! I wish you all the best getting through to your family. It's a tough job as you found out when you tried to show them information. I did the same and what a shock! Mind control at its best. I'm trying the 'under the radar' approach. Reading up on mind control with the books suggested above is a good idea.
