Oh I know what you mean GGG. I used to assist the accounts servent count the money after each meeting. If there wasn't the multi-millionaire elder carrying the payments for the KH, the congregation wouldn't able to exist.

You are bordering hysteria girl! But this is interesting, if they will start moving to electronic downloads... wouldn't that cut into the donations? I mean hell, if it's a free download I'm sure as hell not "donating" to their cause. I'd think more people would think that way. They changed Keep Your Eyes on the Prize. They changed the musical arrangement as well. I first sang it about a month ago at my last meeting and thought, ohhh they didn't change this one! Cool! Not a split second later, changed musical arrangment and words. I stopped singing, I was pissed.

they reckon that they have read a indepth report about the us oil spill and according to that.. the oil spill is too big to be plugged.. its going to posion all the earths oceans.. which means they won't be able to produce o2.. which means that all life on earth is going to die.... which is a fullfillment of the scripture " unless those days were cut short no flesh would be saved".

My daughter asked me this today.

brotherdan, not too "holy roller" for me. I think you make valid points and I agree on some of it. Some I don't but I won't hold that against you.
I'm thinking of it from a human perspective because... that's the only way I know how to think of it as. We can speculate all day on how we think god thinks, but at the end of it, we don't know. Yes, we can look towards Jesus example and words as representing god, but he isn't god himself is he? Or is he?
lol! Sorry, I'm not debating for argument sake, I'm just kinda thinking out loud at this point, I'm enjoying this thread and participating because it is a subject I am rolling around in my head as of late.

Oh I'm not saying that we shouldn't have free will Tammy. To me that is part of what makes us intelligent creatures, it at least makes us unique.
I still believe in a supreme god, but I think one has to use that free will to accept him on your own terms and it becomes real to you personally. There are billions of people (I suspect) that have come to choose to believe and serve a supreme god. The JWs are sliding further and further into blasphemy however, their mind control takes away that free will from their members and instills programmed automated responses = automatons.

I'll take this back to the beginning of man's existence.
Why would God create beings with free will if he knew that introducing this free will could cause some to disobey him? So he create perfect Angels with free will (before humans), they disobey and rebel. Then he creates humans on that same model. But this time has experience and evidence that free will in lesser beings has a higher potential for failure.
Then sure enough, firest human pair fail at the free will test and leads us all to die. Isn't it a bit flawed? Maybe we're just an experiment, lab rats, or entertainment? Make beings just smart enough, just intelligent enough but can't live forever, limit what they can physically do and let's see what happens...
I just don't get it. If you are sovereign ruler and are omnipotent, omniscient then why not wipe the slate clean and start over. I mean, just wipe everything, Angels, universe... everything. Hey, you're supreme, you can do anything, so why not? This seems like a mind f**k experiment if you ask me.
