  Call from elder

  i received a call a few hours ago from an elder.of course he didn't call me to ask how i was or if i needed help.instead he told me that "the youth and some older brothers" of my congregation will gather (at another elder's house,you see 2 elders to "get a hold of the situation") to talk about the "internet,facebook etc dangers".i told him that i will go.hmmm...it's going to be an interesting conversation..

  signs of the end of times - CO talk

  the co yesterday had proof, that we are definetely in the last seconds of the end times.. he said: "never in the history of mankind, has all the signs of jesus' "end times" happened simultaneously".. earthquakes have happened, pestilence same, wars same, etc etc............. but now all these are being seen together and alarmingly so.

  i just answered the phone and it didn't phase me that caller id did not tell me who was calling.

  well, it was an elder.... he wanted to know the usual interogation crap, where i've been, have i gone to the dc yet, when am i going, i will love it, etc, typical bullshit.

  then he says, "i noticed you haven't turned in any time for last month, do you have any to report?

  Nomad Soul, awesome, last meeting I went to I felt like doing just that. I was snickering the whole meeting because of the BS being spouted.

  Snakes, you had a pretty good system there, reminds me of the consolidating of the schedules when I was "reaching out."

  Zid, that's what I was thinking! Sneaky bastard! I'm not sure I want to play the depressed card, but it may be needed to employ the hounder fatique tactic.

  Mad, thanks for that point, I'm working on that, I keep telling myself to not empower these guys over me. It's a work in progress.

  Morbidzbaby, yeah, I hear ya on the parents thing. My mom knows I'm having doubts and it's getting to the point that I'm about ready to tell her that I know it's all BS and I don't believe a damn thing they print anymore. That will be a great fireworks show.

  Wasblind, FS reports are an indication of your spirituality! Didn't you read and study the WT publications?? LOL! Yeah, I ask myself that question a lot, what the hell does walking around banging on doors have to do with your "spirituality?"

  Thank you all for your support, its a huge help to come here to get advice on how to deal with my emerging situation. You guys rock.

  Gutted, I need to remember to say that when he calls again. "Thanks for calling, I'll get back to you when I have time." I haven't told the service overseer to take me off the TMS yet, but I'm expecting either a call on it or him just getting the hint that he can assign as many talks as he wants to me but I won't be there to do it anyway. Goatee is going good, a bit scraggly, I need to trim it up some. Thanks for the encouragement!

  Finally-Free, I didn't give him my work number, it's my cell phone he called. Which they've had for a while.

  Gregor, Hounder fatigue (thanks chickpea), I am going to need to employ that tactic better.

  wasblind, good points. The Sunday meeting that discussed the new generation understanding was the last meeting I went to. In fact, after the meeting, this same elder was the one I mentioned about not getting this new understanding. He wanted to talk to me about it further and see if he could explain it to me... shit... maybe this is what he wants to talk to me about... maybe perfect timing to lead into this discussion again...

  i have not put down my whole story on this board but enough for everyone to know that my problem with the "truth" is sex offenders.. i have fought and fought the elders and they win.

  they will allow child molesters and i cannot stop that.

  wasblind, I was thinking of doing that. But that would start down the path of them thinking I'm and "apostate" and that could lead into further interrogationing which I just want to avoid. Maybe it's inevitable though.

  I'm just glad he didn't get much out of me during the short phone call. I almost felt like telling him I wasn't going to attend the DC at all and I had already listened to it on mp3 (thanks to Yknot), got the releases and heard enough. But that would lead me down the path I'm trying to avoid...

  Well, I haven't been to the meetings for about a month, and haven't been out in field circus for 5 or so. So I haven't ran into an elder face to face for a while.

  I'll keep those points in mind troubled mind, they DON'T have control over me and I need to remember that and not cave into that guilt trip. Thanks troubled mind.
