  Does God Have A Visible Organization Today?

  does god have a visible organization today?.

  well, whether we agree with them or not, the governing body of jehovah's witnesses certainly believes he does have, and they tell us, that the watchtower bible and tract society is that visible organization.

  as we see, they also tell us that their watchtower society is the channel or instrument through which the spiritual food is delivered to other members of the household.. 1939 "we acknowledge as the visible organization of jehovah on earth the watchtower bible & tract society, and recognize the society as the channel or instrument through which jehovah and christ jesus give instruction and meat in due season to the household of faith.

  I 'm sorry I do not have printed material to send. I ran across two excellent web sites that opened my eyes on what JWs are and what they believe. Paul &Pat Blizard 101 Strange Beliefs & Practices of Jehovah's Witnesses. This is a must have and will prove they are not another christian group! www.4jehovah.org, please read, "I WANTED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE BIBLE SO I STARTED STUDYING WITH JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES. HAVE I BEEN DECEIVED".This organization gives an excellent reply. I hope you are successful, as people need to be saved from this group!

  Reply to Gubberingbody, There is one fundmental sect of the penecostals where the women do not cut their hair. But the others have a more modern interpetion of the scriptures.

  Were you suprised at how little the "world" knows about JW's

  i was a jehovah's witness for 10 long years and during that time i developed the opinion that most of the world knew what we believed, but chose to ignore it and go about doing their own thing.

  then in the almost 18 years i have been out, i have come to understand that the outside world knows very little about jw's.

  other than they don't take blood transfusions and do not celebrate holidays, most people have no idea what we believe and only think of them as another offbeat religion among many.. did anyone else think that the jw religion was more known than it actually is?.

  we are already going on a year and a half, and thank god i have not been converted yet.

  As a non JW, I knew nothing about the JW faith or organization and niether did my friends and family. So when they came around and asked if Iwould like to discuss the bible I said yes but I explained that I belong to another faith. They said no problem. They use the NWT and I used the King James. So I was very curious and I assumed that all christian faiths were the same...Boy was I wrong. The study is not interactive, its the Jw way or no way. I would write out bibical reponses to topics in the What does the Bible really teach, and they would not read it!! I was informed by friends that JW's are not allowed to read aposate material!!I was shocked. We are allowed freedom in Christ to read any religions material. If you are strong in God the material is not going to corrupt you. Their doctrines do not align up to the bible.They say there version is the truth. I recommend all people to forget about the watchtower and study a non NWT version bible. Ask God for wisdom and the Holy spirit to guide you.

  Then I found out about shunning. How does this follow Gods teaching. One day you can speak and love the person and the next your told to not speak or associate with a person. In my faith we follow the scripture that tells us to visit to encourage the fallen. One of the ladies will not speak or have any associating with her own blood brother! of course she did not tell me she was shunning him. But I found out. in all honesty this is the worst christian religion I know of. If your fallen mother or father leaves the organization and dies can you attend the funeral? What about Gods command to honor thy mother and father that thy days will long apon the earth. This has been at times very frustating but all knowledge is useful and I can pass on all that I have learned from you good people and the other web sites to the innocent and unknowing to be aware and avoid the Jw unless you want to waste your time.

  Thank you everyone for your replies. We are studying What Does The Bible Really Teach. We meet if possible once a week. Depending on my wordly celebrations, hoildays ect. I was told that usually people have made a commitment to join the JW by now. Every topic I have some counter argument to dispel what there saying. Yet the ladies interchange with each other and here they come. We are on page 169 not far from the end of the book. At the end will be my end. I can't take anymore of this arrogrant religion!
