  The Watchtower slams the Catholics, why not Islam?

  given that the wbt$ is always ready to insult the catholics and other religions why don't they slam islam in the same way?.

  is it because it's not considered 'christian' or do they know that muslims won't take their insults?.

  or do they and i just missed it?.

  they are the only religion that i know of that disapprove of a college education.

  they alone believe in the significance of 1914. they exclusively believe that christ jesus is michael the archangel.....to name a few.. what can you add to the list?.

  The catholic church had no problems with ex communicating women who had abortions but never has a priest who molested girls and boys suffered the same fate. No thank you, this is not the religion for me.

  I'm new here..... Studying with the Witnesses

  hi- i just wanted to say that i have been checking the website out for a few weeks and have read some horror stories and some sad ones.

  but i have been studying with witnessess for about six months and can't help but feel that they're completely sincere and maybe even, the true religion.

  i love the watchtower and awake and to me, none of that seems crazy.

  Penelope, I was raised southern baptist/pentcostal and in nondenominational churches.In all my years of instruction I was taught not to believe in an organiztion but to put all my trust in God and his holy word. I knew nothing about the Jehovah witnesses religion. When I accepted an invitation to study, I simply assumed it was similar to all protestant churches. Boy, was I wrong! Their teahing materials are slanted to justify the organiztions beliefs. I tried to give them non biased material on subjects we were studying which they could not even look at because it is apostate material. In other words they are the true religion and everyone else is false.

  Curiosty led me to research The Jehovah Witnesses. 101 Strange Beliefs and Pratices of the Jehovahs Witnesses, Freeminds and Jehovahs-Witness.net and many others. Are valueable tools of information about this religion. They have kept me safe and I use the information to pass along to others. Despite their claims to be the true religion and fastest growing , few people know about them. I encourge you to to hear everyone out and to research every wesite of exJehovah witnesses.

  i need to know if jehovahs witnesses are actually told to ....

  completly ignore disfellowshipped children and never speak at all to them , also what about the children of the disfellowshipped children that are growing up unaware of the "truth " ?

  im thinking of writing to my inlaws who have never bothered with our child for two and a half years to tell them to just walk on by if they see us as it would confuse her if they saw us and acted as though nothing has happened .

  then they will be good jws and obediant to the watchtower and not blame us for not letting them see her which is what they lie and tell people !.

  When an outsider sees this type of behavior what impact do you think its having on them. Do you think they would want to belong to a religion they teaches shunning of a family member? Absolutely not! I wonder if the leadership has discussed the negative impact versus the requitment for new members with this policy.Or is the policy of shunnung kept secret until you join the organization.

  My uncle who is an Elder has been warned not to ''talk or meet grandson''.

  my cousin( who was disfellowshipped many years ago) told me that he cannot speak to or come over to his grandfather's any longer.. he would stop by every month or so just to see his grandfather and grandmother.

  they are both in their 80's and not in the best of health.. my uncle who is still serving as an elder would talk to his grandson only when his grandson would visit his house.

  well,someone found out and snitched on my uncle.

  my 82 years old catholic father does everything for his 6 kids .. watch their children, fix their car, lend them thousands of dollars without any expectation of return.

  helps them when they're sick.

  on call twenty four hours a day for his spoiled kids.
