    Don't feed the trolls/shills. A shill, plant or stooge is a person who helps a person or organization without disclosing that he or she has a close relationship with that person or organization . ... I suspect the top # 1 shill postings are from Scientology they have multiple shill sites. I suspect that the JW are in second place. The kicker is Jesus said whoever was ashamed of admitting him or denied him that Jesus would in turn 'deny him to the father'. I don't post like I used to (in other forums) but when I was regular 50% or more of JW apologist post (who deny their faith,who they really are) were shills. I believe there are fewer JW shills here at JWN than at other spots on the web,but they are still a few present here at this forum. (edit-think about it anyone who would shill for the 'truth' is a demonic deceptive psychopath.)

    long time lurker, first time poster.. .

    i'm an ms (accounts servant) in a large congregation in canada.

    over the last several years i've faught a hard-won battle to rid my mind of all religous and supernatural beleifs.

    Think about this and rejoice in the justice.

    If there is no God/Jesus promise of a resurrection than Christians and JW are ''of all people the most to be pitied" Apostle Pauls words.

    Moreover,there is a HUGE number of baby boomer JW my age (55) who are gonna get desperate ending a life with no retirement funds no old age nest egg and finally in diapers before the morgue to rot in the ground forever.

    If there is a God Jesus the JW are damned as a stumbling false religion.

    The JW are in deep deep bleep....

    Personally I do pray a lot and the best thing for me was reading Ray Franz In search of Christian Freedom.

    I will never go to church again.

    Christalone said-Because the WT is not God, knows nothing about God, and most that follow them have a screwed up idea of who God is and why He MUST exist. Too many JWs connect the WT with God and make it an unseperable union. The fact is, God had nothing to do with the WT to begin with and JWs ideas about who God is is also not correct.

    (I'm just commenting on why I didn't give up God when I gave up the WT. Not why I still believe in Him)

    How can anyone really be a 100% confident atheist given the paranormal and occult?

    i don't believe the bible is inerrant nor do i hold a 'christian worldview' any longer as my profile details say (which i am unable to update on my profile), but i just can't see how anyone can be absolutely 100% confident there is nothing out there we can call a 'god' or spirit creature in the face of endless first-hand accounts of paranormal and occult experiences that felt as 'real' to the person who experienced them as anything else in their lives.. there are untold reports of ghosts, faith-healing, ouija boards, seances, spirit mediums, stigmata, mystical born-again experiences, speaking in tongues, and then there's hypnotism, ufo sightings, poltergeists, remote viewing, etc, etc.

    ok, so its mostly only anecdotal evidence, but the amount of it is so overwhelming it is practically corroborating evidence.

    in the face of all this, how can anyone categorically assert that there is nothing out there that is beyond ourselves that we might call a 'god' or spirit creature?

    I have two cases to share:

    1) Myself having full blown vivid audio and visual hallucinations from detoxing from week of acute alcohol poisoning almost died too.The paranormal,occult,demons had nothing to do with it.

    2) 1973 a trusted family member who was having auditory attacks from the demons and to this day I am 80% certain it was REAL.

    I have no proof
