  Conventions in 2013 will continue to add to Watchtower Bible and Tract Societies' bottom line.

  this headline came up on google alerts at work today.

  i was unaware that some cities pay watchtower to hold conventions.

  combined with the standard travel agency 10% hotel room commission, cash, and credit card revenues....= a tidy profit!!!!.

  Dist Convs were one of the most profitable venues for WTS, esp after the food service was discontinued , as contributions remained level but R&F were supplying their own lunch now

  IMPORTANT question is this true that JW family's now patronize worldly vendors like fast food McDonald's?They don't have food service at DC's? What about Circuit Conventions no food there too?

  Health - has anyone else suffered long lasting health effects from years with the Borg?

  does anyone else feel or know that jehovah's witnesses damaged their health?.

  i know many have emerged with depression, and i'm very relieved that i am not one of them.. but, being the age i am, (a large tribe of grandchildren) i was nonetheless pressured to go out door to door in steep countryside often in bad weather, and because i was doing my best to keep up that ended in an injury which has proved to be long lasting.. and that's not counting the stress-induced consequences...i won't cite them all here, but physical.

  a few days in hospital and a summer spent on compulsory almost complete rest can all be laid at the watchtower's door.the trauma of actually extricating oneself from the borg is not stopped when one has finally written that letter that disassociates oneself from them.

  I was a born in and I have family members who DIED PREMATURLY over neglect of high blood pressure,diabetes and other health care concerns.

  They believed the new system coming any day to fix them.

  Multiply this times TENS OF THOUSANDS of followers.In my case my teeth suffered never got em straightened back when I was a JW kid and my dad had insurance because I was gonna get new choppers in the post 1975 paradise.

  This is a wicked murderous blood guilty cult to the core.

  The UN's motto means the END OF DAYS!! Gloom and DOOM

  a email has been going around the witness community explaining how prophecies are falling into place concerning the wild beast.

  aparantly the un's motto this year is "peace and security" 1 thes 5:3 "whenever it is that they are saying peace and security then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pangs of distress upon a pregnant woman aand they by no means will escape".. according to this scripture the "end" should already be here since peace and security has already been declared by the un; i do wonder if this was done on purpose as a slap in the face to wtbs, due to them gb declaring the un a wicked and destable thing.. i would love to hear your thoughts on this matter.. honeybucket.

  I can testify as to fact,I was in the middle of building a house and was squirming 1986 UN peace and security was BIG with the JW

  Witnesses were all hyped up in 1986 because the UN declared it to be a "Year of Peace and Security".

  They'll gradually forget about this latest proclamation as the year goes on.

  By 2014 they'll be denying they ever said anything.

  presuming he does get a trial.... would the fbi or police, prosecution or defense teams look into whether the elders may have known about his child porn?

  would they look at why he stepped down as an m/s?.

  i am imagining that if they do, and they do find that the elders had knowledge of his predilictions could this be yet another bad turn of events for the wt?.

  more than 50,000 dead.

  today i added a new article to my blog addressing overall mortality suffered as a result of watchtowers blood doctrine.

  to the best of my knowledge this is the first attempt at such an extrapolation based on data gathered that is both verifiable and offers sufficient information to measure frequency in this particular patient population (jehovahs witnesses).

  i asked my mother( still very much active).

  she said books made from '86 and before would not be online.

  so we both looked at her physical revelation book and it was made in 88 so it should be there.

  I pray to God and Jesus throughout the day and tell them that I need clarification on the implausibility of the global flood and the last book of the Bible Rev doesn't make sense.

  Those are my two problems with my faith.

  i have been re-reading chapter 10 of ray franz's brilliant book "in search of christian freedom" (must reading for every borean-like jw and former jw), and i note that on page 315 it says that in 1995 there were 36,638 disfellowshipped, and 37,426 deepfried in 1996.. are there any statistics that show whether the number of expelled persons is increasing or decreasing proportionate to the number of publishers each year since then?

  I have the stats for 1987 I used it in a talk the figure was 37,000

  worldwide it worked out to 4.1 persons per houraround the clock as the world turns.

  the northern california circuit overseers been making announcements at circuit assemblies for sisters to be extra careful when shopping and out and about..."remember we are surrounded by satan's system.

  " this has been been in reference to a young sister who went missing in the portland or area.

  well now the whole story is comming out...she wasn't a victim of "the outsiders"...it was her "spiritual brother" who raped and murdered her.
