hi gang: .
there will be an open-line program on the eternal word television network on the jehovah's witnesses on february 7th at 8 pm eastern time in the usa.
i will be on the show.
Hi Kenneson:
My wife was raised Catholic and then came back to the Church. She attended RCIA with me since I had never been Catholic. To come home to the Church she was just required to go to confession and then do a profession of faith and that was it. It was really quite simple. Plus the priests we encountered were very helpful.

Hi:
No, if anything I lose money being an ex-dub. The show will be about the Catholic Church and the positive things about it since of course the show is on a Catholic TV Network and I view my conversion to the Catholic Church as a positive thing. However, it will also be about the JWs and the problems associated with being or having been a JW. I try to be as fair as I can on the issues. I hope you can watch the show that day and decide if I am successful in being fair to all.
Have a great day.

I will share my own story very briefly of my journey from the Jehovah's Witnesses and to the Catholic Church.
In any case, please watch and try to call-in.

hello, i'm new to the madison wi area and would like to meet some ex-jdubs in the area, i'm 24 yrs old.
people relativly my age would be nice but any age is cool.
i just moved from milwaukee and all my friend there are ex-jw's, we are all pretty close about 10 of us or so and am looking for the same kind of bonds where i am now, there is nothing like having people in your life who know exactly what you went through in life.
Hi Gang:
I just moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin a year ago. Perhaps we should have a Wisconsin Apost-o-fest. :)

at the circuit overseer's talk last week he made the comment that some "of the friends" are finding it difficult to move ahead with jehovah's organization (tm).
the co said that a few had asked, "is it necessary to have 5 meetings a week, and a magazine every other week?".
"couldn't we do without one meeting a week, and have monthly editions of the watchtower?
They also need the literature and five meetings for the donations.

for me it was the realization that there was no "faithful & discreet slave", that all the prophecies "proving" that jehovah's witnesses are the only religion approved by god is bogus and the realization that this is a "cult" and there is no real normal sense of love and affection in the "truth".
It was the problems with how they arrived at the year 1914. I read Carl Jonnsen's (sp?) book on The Gentiles Times and realized that this was really an invention.
If 1914 was wrong, then Jesus did not return invisibly then. If Jesus did not return invisibly in 1914, then there was no appointment of a faithful and discreet slave. If there is no FDS, then the JWs have no authentic religious authority and everything they write and believe is just speculation and in most cases highly questionable.
About the time I recognized that the 1914 thing was wrong, they changed the generation of 1914 teachings. This was the last straw for me as I see that as their first step in a long series of steps to change the significance of 1914 in the JW doctrinal system.
As I have said before, the whole thing comes crashing down like a house of cards.

i remember my mom and my aunt making us kids open the door to the trick-or-treators and instead of giving them candy, we had to put wt and awake!
magazines (back issues) in their bags.
how embarrassing.. anyone else have the same experience?.
Well, I was born on Halloween. My last birthday party before we became dubs was a costume party. I was five years old. We had a blast.
As JWs we went to dinner or found something else to do on Halloween and my Father would make the house really dark. We rarely had trick or treaters show up.
