Interesting moment on subway today & other thoughts

i was heading home today, and i saw one woman reading a new world translation.

we made eye contact, but i hope i didn't glare at her or anything... since i was already having a bout with depression today, it didn't help to see her.

so then she gets off the train, right?

It does take time to adjust and I would say 3 years is still early in the transition, especially if your wife is still in the cult and is still brainwashed with recharge from assembly.

Please seek Life dont wait for it to come to you...make a life for yourself doing the things you now have the freedom to explore..hobbies, reading, writing, start a journal, get out of your home even if you dont feel like it, join a gym or group that is doing something for the world...You have only begun to live the real life...YOU CAN DO IT...the rewards will come. :-)

Another rumor about changes in Watchtower and Awake

it's only a rumor.

but we all know that sometimes rumors become a reality.. supposedly the public watchtower and awake magazines will be combined together and the two shall become one.. i wonder if the present 16 page "rags" are becoming an embarrassment.

they truly are rags of the lowest quality..

Bigmac..so right... I just returned from two weeks cleaning house after MIL in nursing home.

There were boxes, drawers, closets full of magazines, books, etc stashed everywhere. I only kept the firsrt version of the Greek Interlienar book, the rest to the dump where the trash belongs. Just think how all those items were counted as publications distributed worldwide.

Secret WBT$ documents that get leaked.

it seems that all the 'secret' letters to elders and even the 'flock' book find themselves on satan's internet.

they become fodder for we 'mentally disease apostates'(tm) to analyse, review and destroy.. eg.

i even had the 'skin the flock'(tm) book before the elders in my old congregation.. are the gb/lawyers/paedophile protectors/whoever aware?

Conversation with a Seminary Student in Starbucks today

this is a distilled (and from memory) reconstruction of a chat this morning.... my 81 year old ex-baptist minister friend dub and i went to starbucks for coffee and conversation.

dub likes to start conversations with strangers.. today a seminary student caught his eye.

they talked for about half an hour before dub dropped me into it.

I lost a good friend yesterday

i am really going to miss having her as a close friend.

we both helped each other this past year, as we were both dealing with the passing of people we loved.

she was a strong part of my support group.

MrFreeze, You so right. I can remember when my Mother was very ill (she pulled through the illness) I had a sister tell me that if she died at least I would see in the new earth. I was so shocked that she could even think that way, it was probably when I started to question the teaching but then couldn't even admit it to myself. JW's always have and always will look on disasters as a chance to preach and place literature seeking to take advantage of those at their most emotional times. All the while saying they are doing this out of love (plus marking down time and placements).

I read the blog which stated that this deadline date will not be enforced if the total number required it not met and petition will remain on site. I usually do not like to create an acct but went ahead and did this so as to sign petition as this is something that needs to be done. Letting every state decide what to do and how to do it is partially why children are not protected.

Can remember when the Barbara Anderson was on dateline (I didnt watch the show) my MIL did and was so upset that she called an elder who assured her if the law states they must report then they will (he just forgot to tell her their state did not require reporting) she thought that meant their congregation would report cases. In Hawaii the prosecutors office said there are classes for organization to take to help educate adults on what to look for in abusers and how to handle it, unfortunately it is not a required class for non profit organizations.

just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

Elephant...I read to keep up on the continuing new light so that when family or friends still ask me to return to Jehovah I can carry on a conversation based on the ever changing truth. Hopefully they will have the scales fall from their eyes and see the light for what it really is, just as I did when discovering the many WT lies...all in the name of God. It is because of my love for others that I do read some of the articles, if you don't get that you are missing the point of why many(not all) are members here or who have set up their own sites, it is to HELP OTHERS.

The Watchtower is not a loving organization that just lets you have your own thoughts or dare to ask questions and if you do not agree with their teachings will allow you to just go your own way but still maintain loving relationships with friends and families. If you are a JW then you should know that, if you are not and have read anything on this site you will come to know that.

When I started finding out the same information I called Headquarters and pointed our the double talk in the Proclaimers Book. When I called about the 607 date I was told to write them for more information that they have only for those who dig deeper that will explain the dates better. I told them I was shocked that spiritual food wouldnt be available freely to all and not just upon request.

I called yesterday and asked for dept that handles the videos in ASL and was transferred but that line was busy and said to leave a message. I said that I was sure not being able to hear did not take away the ability to read and that some WT rules would be better left to reading about. Also that I thought the video was so wrong and should be removed as they seem busy removing it from the general public website and it would be best removed from JW.org as I can not get the visual of that brother out of my mind and find it very disturbing. I wonder if they were getting many calls and just put the message recording on for now.

They are so twisted and wicked...have always said that when I can read a WT or Awake that didn't have a lie I would go to a meeting..it has been almost 9 years and counting.
