I didn't realise forum debates where judged as a spelling context and the best argument is measured by how well spelt they are.

I am not debating science. I support it as something that it measurable by the world around us but it isn't proof of the theory of Evolution or whatever is the current Darwinistic Mythology.

Biogeography is not proof of evoluion it actually works against it for the similar reasons you use it against the Bible. That we can clearly have stand alone species that have no obvious fossil connections with other species.

Witnesses are not a "New earth" Christian group and we do not expect science facts from the Bible which is not meant to be a scientific manual. It uses only simple but basic understandings of things the People around then could understand.

The reason why we don't debate Biogeography, is that it is not touched on by the Bible. We know angels travelled around the earth doings jobs for Jehovah from Daniel. We know a number of animal types were rescued by Noah, to speculate beyond this is just to play into your hands.

Disproving the Bible is not proving Darwinism.

You want us to speculate beyond the bible to trap us.

Science IMO will end up disproving darwinism itself by simply showing that it just isn't feasable. but until then You have your faith in the theories that scientist churn out under the heading of Evolution and we have our faith in God.

perhaps i am not computer savvy and do not understand some of the expressions used.

Isaac is determined I am a previous poster he uses it rather than debate the subjects under discussion. I find it easier to ignore him these days. I've told him I will unless he uses my real name "Debator" since it's hard enough to answering questions directed at me without sifting through muliple past-posters names.

I think Green Jade needs to recognise she will have to wade through a lot of biased information against witnesses from posters because they are now ex-Witnesses. Do you agree?

Please stop asking falacial questions. I already said (and it has been admitted on here by others) that the fossil record is only 10% at best of records. No one can prove or disprove anything by it. There are simply not enough fossil Jigsaw pieces available.

You prove my point. Darwinism is defeated by it's own ever-changing diversity of guesswork by a muliplicity of scientists on what happens over millions/billions of years (and on an admitedly faulty and limited fossil record) that just sounds good.

Basically "It sounds scientific enough so it must be true!" or "a qualified scientist made it as a guess so it must have happenned as fact (despite the fact he will change his mind again next week and put on a new possibiliy which I then will agree happened as fact instead)"

Our "new light" has nothing on the ever-changing world of darwinism. You give up God because of minor adjustments to bible prophecy understanding for a subject that not even the scientists themselves can agree on?

That people on here need to look up the latest journal or ask leolaia for the latest developments!

Your right leolaia embryonic fins were disproved and you had to update my point as well. So 3 different scientific light changes on small point which involved rejecting one idea completely (that once sounded so good that someone still used it as "proof" on here).

Theories and guesswork (however intricate the science they are based on) are not proof.

What is the explanation of the cambrian explosion? pick any one of many speculations out of darwinism's hat constantly getting added too, some mentioned on this thread already. But Darwin himself and many modern scholars as well agree that it is one of the main objections that could be made against his theory of evolution by natural selection.

Darwinism offers too many theories and no enough actual proof.

People are just putting their faith in the speculations of men when they choose darwinism.

A least as believers in God we are honest about needing faith.

Hi Green Jade

This was once a pro-witness site stared by Simon who was once a witness but gradually over time and I would say that now the majority of people on here are ex-Witnesses and some very bitter ones at that. They speak from that negative viewpoint.

Recognising that some People still start posting on his site thinking They will get to talk to real witnesses some of us who are witnesses do still post on here occasionally.

Would WT-Fantasy Videos Keep Kids in the Truth?

if the society put out theocratic warfare videos, it would really help jw youths stick around, imho.

in place of commercial videos that are violent and suggestive, wt-sanctioned videos would supply a viable, healthy alternative.

accordingly, concerned and thoughtful witness parents could participate with their little warriors in theocratic warfare videos as virtual ot prophets wipe out the dread canaanites, zimri and cozbi take love to new heights and the beasts of revelation devour their quarry .... and the parents count their time.. any other thoughts regarding family worship night and related meeting parts?

The bible is very blunt about our history as God's people it certainly doesn't whitewash things or the consequences of Armageddon when summary judgement on humanity by God through his son will happen. But we as Jehovah's people can only be peaceful and reject violence and armed worldly warfare as is required of us by Jehovah.

2 Corinthians 10:3
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.

Our weapons and armour are all of the peaceful variety given by Jehovah.

Ephesians 6:13-17 (New International Version)

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Growing-up Witness was Wonderful ...Until My Bubble Broke

i was raised by a wonderful and close family.

i loved my congregation growing up.

when i would go to the meetings, i felt i could go to school the next day and deal with the pressures of that day.

Please be aware This site has a lot of ex-witnesses on it, who would rather encourage you never be a Witness again and can be very blunt in their dislike of witnesses.

I agree that human nature being what it is, you will find human failings inside of Jehovah's People (or indeed any group) but it is sad if that is the reason that stumbles us from being practicing Witnesses. The reason we are told to encourage each other is because we can fight the pervasive dangers of imperfection together, encouraging one another.

Mark 11:25
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

If a congregation is failing in this regard I have seen a certain ones really try and fight it and be extra kind in the face of others giving into less-nice traits, shaming them into repentence by offering forgiveness, love and understanding.

For you to actually bring your kids up as Jehovah's witnesses wanting them to have that personal relation with Jehovah and his son Jesus. It is a long road which is easier if you take it one step a a time. I'll be honest it would involve your own return to witnesses if you are truly determined? Reading the bible and praying to Jehovah for help is a good starting point with knowing what you really want to do.

Understanding that being Jehovah's witnesses is literally about our faith in Jehovah as our God and his promises fulfilled through his son Jesus and being united as a people and flock gathered together.

It is not about being in a social group but about being one of Jehovah's people.

Thessalonians 5:11

11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Your husband is right to say it is your decision and yours alone at the moment although I think you will have to reach a mutual agreement on certain things when the kids are involved. He sounds like a nice understanding person which is a good.

Your point has nothing to do with cc's words which are about saying witnesses should make weird violent DVDs with killing in them.

Regarding your point Jesus refused to answer or talk to the sanhedron was he witholding information? Yes! but he clearly felt they had no right to his words.

I think that The Bible principle concerning those that have perfection, is that it will last until they willfully do something that makes them imperfect.

So once the Angels came down to earth doing what was clearly forbidden to them, willfully they became imperfect and hense why their children (obviously imperfect because they could die) all died at the flood. These angels were then kept bound until judgement.

Jude 1:6 (New International Version)

6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.

I never said my words where exact bible wording but drawn from the the bible examples. That (one man) Adam brought sin to all mankind. That (One man) Jesus brings us back to perfection. That despite having the law no imperfect man could pay the price to gain perfection hense perfection cannot come from imperfection. And despite Mary inheriting imperfection from Adam (She did die) she could still carry a perfect Child without her imperfection overcoming that child's perfection (for whatever reason)
