You put false expectations on Witnesses.

The point is they were shown to be refineable from these false teachings and that includes the false pagan celebrations Christendom is so full of.

And being reformed from "Satanalia-mithras-winter solstice-commercialism-unreal Santa-Christ birth lie" Celebration was inevitable And happened quite quickly too considering how imbedded it had got.

The step from finding God's Biblical truths and principles and then applying them is a massive one as God's people and really showed the growing maturity of Jehovah's Witnesses

You want this false, commercial, sacred day that is so popular these days with all it's fakery now that you are no longer Witnesses?

It certainly reflects the step from truth to falseness very clearly!

She should have pointed out that Christmas is a pagan celebration now! That you hold no belief yet celebrate it proves this, among others that do the same.

Days of the week are also pagan if we got ridiculous about avoiding all worldly things we would have to completely separate ourselves for the world and The Bible makes allowance for this. But it isn't a license to partake of the worldly/ Pagan sacred days and celebrations they do for their beliefs.

Hi Isaac

Acts is about the preaching work at what point do they become believers? They have to be preached to and taught first and that is what they did and we do. We offer people that chance and they may or may not invite us into their homes and become believers you are simply procrastinating over words ignoring the reality. Thet they preached to anyone and everyone.

As Jehovah's witnesses following his word and kingdom under his son's rule we are Jehovah's people that is a basic truth all your hate and blinkered opinion has destroyed for you.

You do not like Jesus? according to you his accepting donations for his kingdom work establishing God's people is profiteering but if he had written an anti-semitic book on jews getting jews to leave while ignoring his father's work he would be a hero. Interesting alternate viewpoint.

Read the Bible. Effectiveness is not about convert numbers even if you do get them. It is simply doing God's preaching work. So no one can say they didn't have the opportunity to worship Jehovah as you once did. It is good to see that millions have become Jehovah's people but to limit the preaching work to only being about them is just silly.

Going to the greek cannot change the context of the scriptures under discussion. Luke is about hospitality in regards to those you are preaching to and Acts is about the preaching work itself.

by trying to limit preaching work biblically you will come a cropper since the examples in the Greek scriptures simply are that they preached whenever and wherever they landed and to whoever they met.

So all those people that franz talked to are in the one true Religion and in unity? No they have no belief in common, his support has only caused division.

His profits supported him and his lifestyle (whatever it was) to a ripe old age. If the type of book he wrote was a popular medium he could have made millions and kept it all, as he did do with what he did make. The amount is irrelevant, small or large every penny went into his pocket and it was enough to live on for decades.

There is no indication he would have spent it any differently than he did do if he had gained more money. His support was only for people to leave Jehovah's witnesses a fruitage of disunity only.

These are the facts you cannot minimise by trying to make a hero out of a man who sold a book and lived of the profits for the rest of his life.

Preaching what? I could preach about the unbiblical sun god Ra but that would not qualify neither does preaching about the trinity god another one that is not in the bible.

It is about preaching about Jehovah Almighty God our one true God and his kingdom ruled by his son Jesus.

The luke 10:7 scripture if you look at the contrast is about staying in people's home honouring and accepting their hospitality and preaching while you do it. Your wierd spin is very dishonest especially when in Acts 5:42 "from house to house" shows they do preach from house to house. A simple reading of luke shows the context you ignored in your spin. ( I'm surprised you even tried to use that old false spin off here)

Jehovah judges the effectiveness not us. The Bible doesn't predict that the world will all become Jehovah's people in this time period, Ultimately the majority turn away from Jehovah but they do have to have the opportunity and choice.

That you think converts is the measure to judge a religion by is sign of your own wrong standards.
