Some of you aren't going to like this news, but here goes...
by AndersonsInfo inrick simons, candace conti's attorney, will be interviewed on the six screens of the watchtower conference phone line this evening.
there's a good chance that candace will join in, but that's not set in stone.
the host of the program, rick, told me to tell everybody that he is learning how to calm down and to do better on these conference calls.

Barbara,
Thank you for this update. I may try to tune in. It's tough with the kids running around. Perhaps if I put my phone on "mute" I might be able to do it. It's great news that Rick is trying to calm down and be more professional. He has such a bad reputation already that it will be hard for him to overcome his past even with some changes to his behavior. Behavioral scientists know well that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.
Let's see how he comes across and hope for the best.

I am looking forward to hearing more about the suit as details emerge. I hope more victims of the Watchtower Society come forward and sue their pants off. Their behavior toward victims has been nothing less than criminal.
Of course they will appeal. So let's see where this will go.

New experience as an ex-witness today
by Paralipomenon inmy wife volunteers at an animal rescue clinic and this year they were participating in the local pride parade.. we were invited to attend as well and it was a very different experience.
when my wife asked if i would like to go, i had to think for a second.
i am really not homophobic at all, but i confess i had never been to one.

Para - good for you! Thank you for sharing. Imagine if your image was captured on the news and the witnesses happened to see it. I don't know why thinking of that makes me giggle a little.
WT Wizzard - You wrote: " However, don't try forcing me to participate..." I absolutely agree! No one should force anyone to do anything they don't want to do sexually and this would go for straight or gay folks or anyone anywhere in between.

Hello folks. I am sorry to have caused some controversy on this thread. I was just trying to be friendly. I'll translate for anyone who wants to understand what I wrote though:
--
Bon voyage, bon courage et bonne chance au Qc ! N'oubliez surtout pas de visiter la ville de Québec et les petits villages charmants qui se trouvent partout le Qc.
means:
Bon voyage, bon courage and good luck in Qc. Don't forget to visit the city of Québec and the little charming villages that are found all around Québec.
--
Contrary to what some others report, I have never had any trouble anywhere in Qc. I love it. I love the people. I have travelled and stayed all over Qc and whether in larger cities or smaller villages in this beautiful country, I have been treated wonderfully. Because I'm fluent in French, over time I also became fluent in québécois also. My favorite music and television is from Qc. My all-time favorite TV show is "Catherine." The people in Qc have always been wonderful to me any time I go there. I love this beautiful country and people passionately, and they have always loved me back.
Merci (thank you),

I was utterly terrorized by the Society growing up. Paralyzing fear, nightmares, and all of it -- in the extreme. I consider it nothing less than child abuse.
