  And how about if the video was so offensive to you, dont watch it ?

  It's not so much that the video is offensive....it's just ridiculous and unfortunately the only way to have found that out was to have watched the video.

  If the WT orf is clean and loving? why not go back if that's how you feel?

  Clean and loving doesn't mean "Absolute universal Truth" but I'll tell you what, I'd much rather be part of them than go around behaving as you did....you know better than to behave like that....so did your friend who had an attack of conscience before joining you in this farce. They should be able to meet in their own place of worship without someone coming in causing a scene for their own self serving purposes. Out of respect for other peoples belief you wouldn't dare do that in a Sikh or Buddhist temple. Not to mention you might not survive such a stunt so well.

  Laura, what were you trying to accomplish? Did you think your actions were going to convince anyone to rethink their religious convictions then and there ? If anything you confirmed everything that's been said lately about apostates being mentally diseased. What did you expect the attendants to do, ignore you ? I thought they handled things pretty well. For all they knew you could have had a gun in your purse...you could have set fire to the bathroom while you were back there changing the baby. By wearing the Apostate shirt and purposely trying to sitting up front you were taunting them....baiting them to do something noteworthy for this video of your childish little prank. Even after everything that my family has been through at the hands of this organization, your video makes me want to run back to the KH and be part of that clean and peaceful group of people rather than be involved with anyone on this site who may think this kind of thing is in any way a higher road to take. Love does not behave this way ! From the looks of things, instead of trying to show an entire auditorium full of mistaken but decent people the error of their ways, you could have made better use of your time by cleaning up your livingroom a little before inviting us into it !

  P.S. I'm glad your poor parents/family weren't there, I suspect they've suffered enough shame !

  JWs preparing for some "Special Top Secret Meeting" does anyone knows about this?

  i was talking to one of my jw ex-friends today (we keep in contact every once in a while) and she was all excited telling me about the new arregment, a special meeting only for elders, their wives, pioneers and other sheep of "exemplary" conduct... (of course she was invited)..... something about one meeting from bethel that is going to be broadcasted to everyone at assembly halls and translated via radio for those who cannot speak english... is by invitation only (and they are "being discreet w the invitations to avoid offend the ones not invited") and they even gave them tickets they have to present at the door..... anyone has the scoop??

  Upset my mom. :(

  last weekend, my parents had the kids and my wife and i had a whole weekend just to ourselves.

  it was great; we did nothing the entire time except relax and enjoy the silence.. last night we went to pick up the kids.

  my mom made dinner, and we ate and visited, and i sadly got into it with my mom and ended up really upsetting her.

  So my mom trots out to the living room and says, "That may be true, but if you honestly look at the big picture, are you really telling me you think things aren't the worst they've ever been in the history of mankind?

  It seems like 70 years ago during world war 2, when the jews were being burned in ovens, things just a tad worse than today but apparently that wasn't enough to qualify as the great tribulation.

  Every generation of JW's wants the end to be in their lifetime and they find any reason to believe it's will be so and anyone who says otherwise is simply being influenced by Satan.

  I guess that is about right when you break it all down but it just sounds like too high of a ratio when you consider that there are about 308 million people in the U.S. and only 7 Million Witnesses in the entire world.

  Apparently there are about 77 million Catholics in the U.S. and about 5 Million Mormons so it would seem that God is blessing their numbers as well.

  here's a youtube video of the conclusion of knorr's public talk at the 1958 intl convention combined yankee stadium & polo grounds.

  you know, the dc that good jws are supposed to get all tingly about when you mention that 1/4 million of them were in the same place.

  the whole thing is non-remarkable, standard, "ain't the new order gonna be great" drivel.. turn the sound down.

  My wife was supposedly conceived at this assembly. I assume it didn't happen up in the stands...the talks were far too riveting.

  Somebody said Knorr was a dynamic speaker. I used sit at his table at Bethel and to me he always sounded and looked like an overweight version of the 50's and 60's commedialn Wally Cox who also did the voice of Underdog in the underdog cartoon. Compare this video with the assembly video and see what I mean. Wally cox
