We all know how many are CURRENT JDubs, but what is the total number of EX-JDubs?
by sinis ini was wondering if anyone had a stat on how many ex-dubs are out there that are comprised of df'd, da'd, faded, etc.
basically, how many ex-jdubs exist outside of the realm of the ~7 million or so current and faithful jdubs... from the beginning of this cult until now (including those that have died) - rough idea..

"Have you ever been in love?"
by compound complex inhorrible isn't it?
it makes you so vulnerable.
it opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up.

elderite... I took your advise and talked to her. Sad to say, no go. I won't give up, unless she's married . But as for now, no go but as the JW's say, I'll keep laying the seed. No, not that way you pervs. Like I said though, she aint even in the same state as me so SB party wouldn't have worked anyway. I'm just hoping she'll move back here. I hope she sees what I can do for her eventually. Despite telling her all that, she still hasn't given up on me as a friend. I appreciate your advice elderite.

I'm from Pittsburgh, and though I'm disappointed in the result, Green Bay deserved to win. If I had to choose between Penguins and Steelers, Penguins all the way. Don't tell Steeler fans I just said that. By the way, Malkin out for the year, Crosby out another month, just lost to the Crapitals, somehow that makes me feel worse than losing Super Bowl.

The Next Change: What Are Publishers Worth?
by metatron inonce upon a time, i invested in an electronics company that increased its profits by over 200% by reducing its customer base!
this counter-intuitive result came about because they realized that most of their revenue came from a few customers who needed more support.. fast forward to the watchtower: whether they admit it to themselves or not, change will come because they are piling up huge numbers of publishers that are almost useless.
worse, they eat up published resources without contributing for them...... and they drag the organization down in multiple ways and create more problems.. they have a "growing" problem - with increasingly useless growth.

How can they judge which pubs are "worth" anything? Unless they fill out a form saying how much they donate or something...

I don't know, she already made it pretty clear she does not have those kinds of feelings for me. It certainly is something to consider. There are several issues I'm dealing with though. First off, she doesn't live in the same city as me anymore. Several months ago she moved almost halfway accross the country with her boyfriend. She doesn't know if she's going to move back to where her home city, which is where I am now.
Then there's the whole friendship thing. If I pursue this it could very well damage the friendship. That's the last thing I want to happen because she has been my best friend over the last year. She even said as much that if we wanted to remain close friends I couldn't let those feelings affect it.
She knew her current relationship was going south so she started getting involved with some other guy. Turns out, that probably isn't going to work out. She seems to be going through a tough time right now and I'm trying to be supportive.
For me the problem I notice is that I make a good friend apparently but not a good romantic partner. That must be it because it seems to be the same with most women I've tried to have a relationship with.

I would say truly twice. Yeah I've had plenty girls that I like but only two that I truly loved. If you read any of my posts about my story you could read about the one. Then there's the other I'm currently dealing with. A woman at work. We became very close friends to the point where we would share our deepest emotions and feelings and secrets. She was the first person I ever told about how I really feel about the JW's. We got so close but the only problem was that she had a boyfriend. I didn't actually develop those romantic type feelings for her until about a few months ago. Well they just broke up a few weeks ago and so I told her about my feelings. She said she didn't feel the same way. In all reality, it's like getting punched right in the gut. We were able to keep the friendship going at the very least and I told her I would do my best to put my feelings behind me. I can say that all I want but the heart wants what it wants and those feelings are DEFINITELY still there. The worst part about it is that she's always telling me about how guys have done nothing but hurt her in the past. I just wanna say "Hello??? What have I ever done to hurt you? Why don't you at least give me a shot?" I hold back though... because if I say something like that it might hurt the friendship over all. Stupid love...

What's Your Worst/Best Quality About You?
by minimus ini'd say my worst is sometimes i don't like to deal with important things and don't unless necessary.. my best quality (and there are so many that this may be difficult.
what aboutchoo?.

I'd say my best quality is that I'm not judgemental and I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. I try to live the adage "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Also I try my best to treat people the way I would want them to treat me and I think I do that quite well.
I'd say my worst quality is that sometimes I'm not as self-confident as I want to be and I frustrate myself a little too easily.

what did the jews believe about life after death?
by varian injws say, that they believed in the resurection of the dead on earth.
but i can t remember reading such a bible quote.
although i think mary said something about a resurection at the end of times...whatever that meant.. are there bible scriptures in the old testament which support such a believe?.

Why Don't JW Congregations have a Choir?
by journey-on ineven if it were just four or five good singers that practice during the week and get to know the new songbook well, this would benefit the whole congregation.
music is such a vital part of the overall emotional connection to the gathering, a well-rehearsed choir singing along with the congregation would encourage and uplift, don't you think?.
what is the society's reasoning for not doing this?.
