  Mr. Flippers Son & Girlfriend Have Bigfoot Experience on Weekend Trip

  granted i expect a couple of you out there are doubting this and have expressed this, i certainly respect your right to do so.

  that being said there are some of you who have dealt with this bigfoot experience in a very real way.

  so here it goes, i had mentioned my son and his girlfriend last weekend were going back to the place my son had his may bigfoot sighting experience.

  Anyone here ever lived in - or visited extendedly - Thailand?

  having been a long time dub - from the age of 5 to the age of 48 - i did not ever plan on retiring in 'this system of things'.

  by the time i figured it out, it was a bit late to develop a career plan, get an education, and get the retirement savings in order.. there is still some time - and we will do what we can to assure the best retirement we can.

  i am currently 52. but one of the options i am considering is a move to an economically viable location.

  I don't 'know' Thailand but I've visited it. Good place in South East Asia with good people. Just stay away from Bangkok.

  Malaysia comes to mind too....the blue South China sea, white beaches, palm trees....

  can't explain this one.. right in the middle of my shift i became disassociative.. my brain locked and i threw my hands up and kept repeating, "i can't do this!

  i can't take this!

  right out the front door of the bookstore.. i wasn't angry.

  Your body and mind are exposing symptoms, they are telling you something. Such shutdown *may* suggest an overload, stress or frustration. I don't buy the concept of phychotherapy but a trained councelor can give you the tools to figure it out and manage stability.

  I just finished an intensive course and the greatest tool I have is knowing and implementing:

  Upset is optional.

  You are a brilliant person, Terry. Work it out without judgements on yourself.

  i have been battling an incurable illness and will be able to post less and less.

  i will post my email, and any help you cna asend my way will be appreciated.

  there is treatment but no cure and no cancer yet.

  Wikipedia is supposed to have started a campaign to prevent corporations and individuals from editing their own profiles. You should write to Wikipedia and point out the WT deleting critical links. G

  barbara anderson has just released a new book on cd that contains some 5000 pages of public court records from the nine lawsuits involving 16 victims that the wts settled secretly in may of this year, plus documents from two other cases the society settled in 2000 and 2006.. .

  its called secrets of pedophilia in an american religion: jehovahs witnesses in crisis.. .

  I would like to present this CD to groups such as SNAP (unless Barbara has already) and some local child abuse agencies, government and non-government, and the local newspapers. Rather than have them read all 5,000 pages, what would you suggest we use as a cover letter or teaser quotes to get them to investigate this further perhaps putting something. Would Barbara's preface be enough? "The goal of this project was.....which bring harm to children"?

  I would like to avoid duplicating any efforts at the national/international level re newspapers and TV stations. Is there an organized group trying to disseminate this. I would like to help if I could.

  I believe that the point has been made that not even Barbara has combed throught the 5000 pages for its full meaning. Guess what any reporter will do with a 5000 page CD for him to decifer. They want a story which they can confirm.

  My suggestion is that we form some kind of "reader's group" where each one of us takes a specific number of documents (or pages) and report back with a short summary indicating the most important points. Then we compile all summaries making reference to the precise documents.

  1914, Generation doctrine belief change!

  i had the dubious pleasure of explaining the 1914 generation change doctrine to a relative who has been a jw for all of his life the other day.

  he didn't even know that there had been a generation change and that the wt was no longer claiming that those alive in 1914 would still be alive when armageddon struck.. however, he said he would only believe me if i could tell him the exact date of the watchtower that explained this change.. though i know it is 1995, i do not know the exact date/issue and he refused to research it claiming it would show lack of faith on his part if he questioned his beliefs....but he said he would look it up if i told him which issue it was.. so, please, could anyone direct me to the exact issue in which this world shattering event was revealed?.

  i remember, many jws, especially elderly ones being shocked at this revelation, but obviously this particular relative was not concentrating at the time!!
