by chibiwellington ini am researching the jw religion...and i was talking to a man who was going to join.
he told me something about satan and his angels not being cast out until 1914...because that's when the first war in heaven happened.
i don't know how accurate he was, but please, if someone could help clear me on this?.

Help Please, for a friend in crisis (non JW)
by home_and_dry inthis is totally non-jw related, but i have a close friend who is in turmoil at the moment and there are lots of great people here who are good with advice so any help would be appreciated.
my friend, who ill refer to as katie has just found out some shocking info about her past.
katies mum has been an alcoholic for about 15 years.

I think Kate needs to stop worrying about who her real father is and just stay as far away from her mother as she can. The more she dwells on such a disturbing past the harder it will be for her to move on. jurs

Here and there a newbie will post and its obvious that they think that this site is for JW's and not EX's. Did any of you ever come across an apostate site on accident? What about the first time you came here? I was nervous and a little scared but it didn't take too long before I was laughing. I couldn't believe that some of these people were once my brothers and sisters. It was nice to see people act real.

Stupid Rules - LIST!!!! ( CONTEST )

i will start.... number 1) two people have to witness a sin before it is reported to the superior authorities....making me the org the last word in all areas.. the most stupid rule gets to post it once the gb has judged it the most stupid?

Wedding Ceremony

i am not and no one else in my family is a jw.
my brother's son will be getting married shortly and we will be attending the service in the kh.

Scully, good point !! I think its important to add that if they did attend a wedding in a church rather than a kingdom hall they could be disfellowshipped. I know of a lady who was disfellowshipped for going to her own daughters church wedding. So John, you can attend a JW wedding but don't expect them to attend a wedding if its in a church because likely they wont. That goes for funerals too.

John,
He's just joking ! You'll be dissappointed to know that there will be no nudity. I know , what a let down!! Jehovah witnesses for the most part dress modestly. This I know full well, when I was a witness i was "talked to" because my skirts were too tight !!!!
You said it should be intereting, ummmmm it won't be. You'll be bored stiff !!!!!!

Its funny you ask that. I need to be getting ready for work right now !!!!!! I am a hairstylist and I booth rent , so I make my own hours. I just finished school and started working in May. I thought it was time that I get a job and this was something I had always wanted to do. Now that I'm doing it I have decided its better to be in the chair than behind the chair!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think I like it much but I am going to give it some more time since I invested money to buy my color lines , supplies and equipment. Uggggggggggggg I gotta go get ready.
