  hi.

  this is inspired by another thread, but heres something that always bugged me.... if god wanted to know if abraham really was faithful... then why didn't he use his abilty to look into his heart and find out?

  instead of putting the poor man and his son through a near death/ murder situation??

  bohm, i see where you are coming from, unfortunately there are a lot of sick people and again some of their problems has been caused by what they believe in or what they believe to be. But according to the bible abraham was not sick in the head. If someone were to slice a persons throat today and said God told them to do it I would personally think that they are crazy, not because i didn't have faith, but because one of the commandments says thou shall not kill. That's from God. And abraham did not kill his son. He did not i repeat kill his son

  I guess and this is just a guess, God could read his heart, but God was testing his faith. No matter whats in our hearts there are at times we question our faith. So God wanted to see if Abraham had faith in him . Samething with job God knew his heart, his faith was put to the test

  like the toyota prius.....i wonder if there will be a factory recall of the millions of pieces of literature that were spread throughout the world with the wrong "generation" information in them ?.

  I threw away alot of stuff but i kept my reasoning from the scriptures book and my kingdom proclaimers book theres a lot of damaging bunk in just those two books i use these for witessing to the witness. Scince i been showing the ones who came around the contradictions they havent been around in months its almost like showing garlic to a vampire. i don't see why because they still use these books

  these two groups make up one generation.. "bull".

  the bible supports the dictionaries definition of generation, matthew 1:1-17 shows abraham, isaac and jacob as three separate generations, verse 17 says: "all the generations, then, from abraham until david were fourteen generations.. the dictionaries definition say: all people born around the same time; a single stage in the descent of a family or group.

  Bane , they still have not shown where the bible supports two generations as one. The scriptures they use in that video talks about joeseph and his brothers which make up according to the bible one generation. Read Genesis chapter 4 and 5 ,Matthew 1:1-17 and luke 3: 23-38. These scriptures all talk of individual generations there is no combining of generations just because lives overlaped. Bane stop showing me things without proof show me some proof. The WTS says they adhere strictly to bible based scripture to support what they say show me proof.

  as a worldly, i realize that, if i were to say something about the watchtower, it would almost always be something that i learned from someone else.

  i have few personal experiences of what the wt is like.. the words of ray franz, for example, were a different matter.

  he knew the beast from inside, to a level few other witnesses knew it.

  everyone listen up if you still have your" reasoning from the scriptures" book get them out turn to page 234 and read the last sentence in the definition.

  where it says: the generation who was alive in 1914 would be the generation to see the end.

  then turn to page 242 on the top of the page where they say it's not gonna be another generation to experience this.

  Witness, from what i'm seeing, concerning this generation, group and generation mean the same thing. They define this with their illustration of F.W. Franz he was born in 1893, any anointed person born in 1935 or as late as 1991 is of a different generation , according to them their lives overlap making these two groups,two separate generations,with Franz being part of the first group. These are two separate generations. The Governing Body now says they are one generation.

  I know it's all bunk, because it's not supported by any scripture that i can see, i'm still waiting on the scripture that supports this

  can someone show me where Abraham (father) and Isaac (son) were considered one generation just because their lives overlaped. This new light is not Bible based or have i missed out on a scripture that supports this new light.

  The Governing Body is trying to put two generations into one. Each group represents a generation

  Can someone please show me the scripture that i missed supporting this new light.

  Witness, thank you for clarifying your post and please except my most humble apology. i see what you are talking about now. I'll keep that in mind with my next post.
