  Call from elder

  i received a call a few hours ago from an elder.of course he didn't call me to ask how i was or if i needed help.instead he told me that "the youth and some older brothers" of my congregation will gather (at another elder's house,you see 2 elders to "get a hold of the situation") to talk about the "internet,facebook etc dangers".i told him that i will go.hmmm...it's going to be an interesting conversation..

  and anything not ok'ed by the WTS was a no no. what changed ?

  The False Prophet Nathan?

  my mom is addicted to the wts.

  i've recently brought up the many false prophecies and she calls almost every week to show me new things that the society has said about false prophets and how they are not one.. the latest was the account where king david wanted to build god a temple.

  he told nathan the prophet about his idea and nathan basically said, well god is with you, you should do it.

  First off, you could use what Olin Moyles stated about the prophet Nathan,

  then you can go to page 133 in the reasoning book where it states

  "If any individual or organizations claim to represent God but decline to use Gods

  personal name, and make it a practice to express thier own opinions on matters, are

  they mearsuring upto this important qualifications of a true prophet?"

  You see, the GB describes themselves as prophets on pg 133. Now turn to pg

  380 in the same book under the heading of spirit, look within the definition # 4

  says: Inspired utterances originating with an invisible source. Now look on top

  of pg 381 the last sentence in their own words prove that being anointed with holy spirit

  and having inspiration cannot be separated. Now go back to pg 136, in the middle of the pg

  they do not claim to be inspired prophets. So how can they be anointed?

  i just answered the phone and it didn't phase me that caller id did not tell me who was calling.

  well, it was an elder.... he wanted to know the usual interogation crap, where i've been, have i gone to the dc yet, when am i going, i will love it, etc, typical bullshit.

  then he says, "i noticed you haven't turned in any time for last month, do you have any to report?

  brief history...my mother (love her dearly) is the most devout (okay, brainwashed) jw i know.

  wouldn't hear anything that would cause her to doubt.

  my dad converted after 20-some-odd years, so i grew up with the "unbelieving father", my mom had the "unbelieving mate" and we were henceforth treated like dirt in the congregation...plus we were poor.

  What about the generation teaching, did you hit her up about that?

  Sept 15, 2010 WT pg 13 paragraph 8, states that whatever the GB write

  in their literature is not from men but from God. The Reasoning book which

  is still in use, states that the generation that was alive in 1914 will be the one to see the

  end of this system, at all of the DC's they are saying they won't. we were always

  taught that God cannot lie. So why is He lying now?

  Keep it real,

  And only show her, the contradictions and flip flops out of WTS literature only.

  take as long as needed, getting her to see the "truth" about the troof will

  take some time.
