  Oh, how I wish that more would truly understand the invitation that our lord wishes for all to partake of! FREE!!!

  ISAIAH 55:1-3

  "Hey there all you thirsty ones! Come to the water. And the ones that have no money! Come, buy and eat. ........(2)Why do you people keep paying (donating) out money for what is not bread, and why is your toil (works under old law) for what results in no satisfaction? Listen intently to me, and eat what is good, and let your soul find its exquisite delight in fatness itself. (3) Incline your ear and come to me. (not the org) Listen, and your soul will keep alive, and I shall readily conclude with you people an indefinetely lasting covenant respecting the loving-kindnesses to David that are faithful.

  Which Bible to get?

  i was just wondering: never in my life have i owned (or even read) a bible other than the nwt.

  i really wish to study the bible but really do not wish to use this version.

  after seeing the plethora of bibles out there i was wondering if there is any person here who can give me an un-biased opinion on which bible to get.

  To agree to disagree! Minor things that is so true my brother (sister).
  That is the beauty of what we could NOT do in the org. Praise Jah we have been set free from that.

  I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and ask you
  If one is going to disfellowship and shun an individual for "APOSTACY"...what do you consider an apostate to be?

  I ask because this slandering term is running rampant throughout the org and the fear they are putting on its members to watch out for.

  Now you don't know me from the man in the moon, and grant it, I do believe there are true apostates in this world. For me to judge them, I cannot as it is not my place to. It is our master who will eventually. Sometimes they condemn themselves even!

  But just who is an apostate (1) scripturally?
  And who is an apostate (2) according to the org?

  Be careful how you answer.
  By your presence on this board you cannot cast any stones.
  By your association with those who are disfellowshipped on this board demonstrates apostate actions on your part.

  JUST A MOM (Kim) who knows she is NOT an apostate for simply disagreeing with an uninspired WT magazine, and even proving it to her elders scripturally. (which of course they refused to open their bible that night. Either for fear of seeing the truth or fear that a woman might be teaching them something they should have already known.)

  Organized religion- Good or bad?

  i have recently been pondering some over some thoughts on organized religion.

  the jws always refer to other religions as part of babylon the great, in which we should flee from.

  Yes, it is!
  Sheep like to be led. Either we can be led by MAN through organized religion, or we can be led by "the fine shephard" our ONE leader and mediator. Please note JOHN 10 & Matthew 23:10
  Note in John, Jesus said "MY SHEEP know MY VOICE" and COME OUT"

  Yes, the adversary is deceitful enough that the scriptures tell us he is even capable of 'misleading the chosen ones.'
  How so? By transforming himself into an angel of light.

  Now who is "THE TRUE LIGHT?" John 8:12
  Now Saten in order to mislead has to LOOK as much like the true light as possible in order to mislead sheep that are searching for light.

  So, he sets up organized religion. A form of godly devotion that looks and feels like the real thing, but its not.
  Therefore, instead of allowing ourself to be "yoked to the Christ", we are yoked under mans laws and domination.
  Please note PSALMS 146:3,4 & GALATIANS 4:1-7 & 5:1.

  "THEY", man, sets the limits as to how to worship. What is acceptable and what isn't. They interpret the scriptures to say this, others agree.......and they have a following.

  The law now is NOT on stone tablets, as our lord fulfilled what was written. It is a law that exsists on a persons heart. It is the fine shephard we follow as our one leader and it is through holy spirit that we are taught and guided. 1 JOHN 2:26-29

  That is why we are to keep in mind what is at ACTS 17:24&25. That "Jah does not dwell in handmade temples."
  It is in "US" if that spirit truly dwells in us. We, then, become the temple and place he inhabits. That is why the pillar of fire on top of the disciples heads at Pentecost went INSIDE THEM. They became "the temple". Many members with 'ONE head'. 1CORINTHIANS 3:16

  One must "not forsake the gathering together" as HEBREWS 10:24,25 says. Fellowship, association with the body as well as ANY believers is important. But "worship" is inside our temple. That is how one "walks by faith not by sight" and "worships in spirit and truth."

  Yes I do understand those scriptures and as you have mentioned and from the scriptures in my last post including this one in JOHN 10: particularly verses 16& 27....

  There IS a voice that our master uses. ALthough it is NOT audible, we must open our spiritual ears to hear. JOB 34:13-17 tells us when we are likely to be able to hear without distraction.

  Yes, although what IS SCRIPTURE is from that voice that his servants heard and wrote down (had to hear something to write books)
  that voice can and will speak to us anytime we are willing to hear and put faith in it. Most don't though! We've been taught any voices we hear are the demons. If demons which are lower than our master can communicate with us, how much more so could not the creator by his son do so.?

  There are also books that were written by faithful ones under inspiration that did NOT make it as part of the bible cannon.
  If that were the ONLY way God communicates to us, wouldn't he have seen to it that those books were part of the Bible.?

  put aside for a moment your statis of the organization, it's saturday morning and your on the other side of the ole familar knock.

  "hello i'm brotherdoesnthavealife i haven't seen you in a while" how would you react?.

  it happened to me after about 6 years of being inactive and it was an elder and a c.o.

  I would politely tell them to read JEREMIAH 23 & EZEKIEL 34 and say that even if they were sincere, they could NOT help me. As they are described in these chapters, it is the main reason why the sheep are behind the door instead of at the meetings, thank you!

  your information is paraphrased in the "Insight Volumes" and the "Watchtower"!!??

  Please STOP relying on "uninspired" utterances to see truth.
  It is NOT there and NEVER will be. That being the case....why don't you put your trust in ANYTHING ELSE that is mans interpretation/paraphrasing/translation?

  As to the recommendation from Ozzie on this post my dear one, PLEASE PLEASE heed the warning at REVELATION 18:4 to "Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to SHARE with her in sins and RECEIVE her plagues."

  Praise Jah! He has released me and my immediate family from slavery to man, his ever-changing laws, lack of natural affection and burdens from the WTBS.
  As WE try to walk by faith, worship in spirit and let LOVE dominate in our lives (most of the time try too lol)
  Jahs law will remain on our hearts and not on stone tablets for you who need the organization. (a golden calf to worship)

  Appreciate your sharing all the WT quotes.
  But honestly, by adhering to the law (old) not new covenant puts this organization in the same boat as the jewish sysytem of things.

  Christ came and fulfilled that law. They rejected it!
  Christ came to show a surpassing way of love. They rejected it!
  Christ came and showed we are to love even our enemies and pray for them. They rejected it!
  Christ came first to the house of Israel as gods chosen people to invite them first into a new covenant leading to life, not one of death. They rejected it!

  Therefore, Jah rejected them! Yes disfellowshipped them as a nation!
  Remember, "You house has been abandoned to you!"

  So, now,the shoe is on the other foot for the WTBS!
  Praying for mercy, forgiveness and showing love to ALL should be a priority on their list.
  Not condemming and casting stones.

  Hello my sister and may you also have peace upon you and your family

  Amen to those scriptures about the old law and adherance to it.

  When we understand that love bears, believes, hopes and endures ALL things....LOVE NEVER FAILS! There is NO law against law!!

  NO LAW! Galatians 5:23!!!!!!!!!!!!

  NO LAW
  NO WATCHTOWER
  NO BOOKS can tell us we cannot show love to someone.
  We do not have to condone and share in a particular sin with ANYONE, but we are still under obligation to show love to that one. Whether love prompts us to tell our brother he is headed in a dangerous direction, or whether we are to be there when called upon.

  WE ARE NOT HERE TO CONDEMN. That is NOT our ministry nor our purpose in life. The WTBS FAILS grossly in realizing this. Therefore, because of this, they have determined their own judgement!

  Where they continually lack mercy, love and forgiveness, it will not be shown to them. This aint about us and now.
  There's a big picture and a future. And ALL will stand before the judgement seat.

  Just reading in the book of Isaiah 55-....and came across chapter 58.

  WOW! What a chapter.

  If only the WTBS could "see" just how hypocritical and hateful they truly are!

  What does Jah truly expect from us as to "fasting' 'sacrifice' 'sabbath'and 'true worship."

  For those INSIDE that think its ok to SHUN ANYBODY including your own flesh (relatives), please read this chapter.

  How Israel still forgets their God, his covenant, and true mercy through love.

  Notice THIS verse in the NWT (others even read better)

  ISAIAH 58:7 "Is it not the dividing of your bread out to the hungry one,and that you should bring the afflicted, homeless people into your house? That in case you should see someone naked, you must cover him, and that you should not HIDE YOURSELF FROM YOUR OWN FLESH?"

  (another translation reads, "Do not hide yourself from your relatives who need your help.")
  It NEVER says, UNLESS of course they are disfellowshipped.

  Why must they HATE, be so unmerciful, show no compassion, no love or pity for so many people including themselves?
  Why is it they cannot LOOK IN THE MIRROR, stop casting srones, stop preaching condemnation and start loving?

  I know I know the answer
