  i would like to preface my discussion of the recently filed berry lawsuit with several remarks.

  first, i am not an attorney, and my only connection with the legal profession is that which occasionally arises out of my personal or business affairs.

  second, i have no access to court records, opinions, etc., other than what is available via internet search engines.

  FYI:
  My experience in dealing w/one Elder is that I was warned to keep my daughter away from a family where the man of the house had serious complaints re: inappropriate behaviour toward young girls.

  Suicide after convention

  a french co has died after an attempt to suicide in lyon, this week.. he have made his speech on the convention, and the next morning was found dead by the family where he sleep.. this is a personnal information, no french's newspaper have talked about it.. .

  Since there have been so many cases of seriously depressed and ill people in the organization, I would like to suggest that the elders would recommend psychiatric counseling....that is if they have any common sense. I mean if someone breaks a leg, they go to a doctor to have it set, right.

  However, I have personally seen a family in complete derision because of counsel which encouraged them to get rid of anything which could have the demons attached to it. It was a horrible situation, and the only thing this family (read Woman-ment. ill) needed was direction to the nearest mental health facility. I could write volumes about this one, but suffice it to say......some elders would point an ill person in the right direction, others would not.

  hello, this is my first post to this board.

  i'm a married 24 year old male, i've been married for 2 1/2 years.

  my wife and i are in the process of trying to get out of the wts, presently we live on the east coast of the us, but are planning to move to the west coast in 6 months.

  may I suggest reading "Feeling Good" by David Burns.
  All or nothing thinking is extremely destructive. It will hinder you throughout your whole life (religiously speaking and in every other way).
  Just a thought.

  Would someone please tell me when it was lawful for an individual to report sexual abuse to Religious Leaders first INSTEAD OF SECULAR AUTHORITIES?
