Just seen this quote...
"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."
do you tend to blame your problems on the fact that you were a jehovah's witness?.

this is my #1 hobby.
i have a ps2, psp, and xbox.
i was mainly an xbox kind of guy until they completely abandoned it soon after the 360 was released.
No kidding Hofer...major troubles there for Sony. Fortunately for me the credit card they had in their records for my PSN account had expired.
Don't play too much online these days, but not being able to use Netflix has been frustrating.

Good find Pika Chu...was thinking of starting a gamer thread. Should've known there already was one.
Think I started gaming on the old Commodore VIC-20, if anyone remembers that relic...it sucked. Atari, Intellivision, Nintendo, Sega (NHL 94), GameBoy...had a serious addiction to Tetris for a while. PS2...think the games I played the most on that were the SSX snowboarding series. Oh and Grand Theft Auto...too many hours used up just driving around like a maniac.
Now I have a PS3. Pretty much play EA's NHL games most of the time. But also like 1st person shooters: Killzone, Resistance, the Call of Duty games. FallOut was a lot of fun.

LOL...that's one of my favorite Family Guy clips. I see Sagan getting a kick out of that one.

There are days yes. But realize it is counterproductive to play the blame game on something you can't reverse. Most of us have/had issues to sort out because of being a JW. It is what it is...can't go back.

Carl Sagan
Wonder what he'd think of being auto-tuned.
this is sad but also quite inspiring...thought i'd share it.. .
a gentleman named derek miller passed away yesterday from cancer.
he was loved and admired by many in the vancouver area (and beyond).
I pullled this up and cried my heart out. My sister died of the very same thing and it was like listening to her. She was on my mind all day and then I read this. We were all JWs at one time. What a waste. You never get it out of you life. This is so sad.
if you could describe the jehovah's witnesses, in a sentence (no run-ons please) what would it be?.
.
jehovah's witnesses are mostly harmless; just don't join 'em..
Jehovah's Witnesses: Unconditional Love*

Thanks for the comments everyone. Also good to hear I'm not the only one still wrestling with the magic-carpet-ride-to-Paradise mindset!
I never met Derek but he was a good friend of a colleague of mine. A great man, father, husband.
Found this pic of him...
