and that is that the theory of evolution is a very complex and at times, logically interesting theory.
it makes valid points as well as asking fair and legitimate questions of the theory of creation.

Speaking of the old blue Evolution book...I was a born-in and was only in my early teens when we studied it. But I recall having some doubts about the logic debunking evolution. Even though I didn't know anything about evolution besides what they wrote.
I remember the part about the "earth being in just the perfect position in the solar system because of jehovah" made me wonder. Remember thinking "maybe life is on this planet because this planet happened to be in the right spot. With billions of stars and planets, doesn't it make sense that odds are some would be in the sweet spot?"
Did anyone else have thoughts like that? Of course I was too afraid to say anything....and felt guilty just having those thoughts.

Evolution threatens the very core of the JW ideology: Genesis creation account is literal, sin entered into mankind thru Adam, Jesus sacrifice was to atone for man's inherited sin. They need to villify and spread misinformation about evolution and anyone associated with what are the facts of evolution.
Watched the movie Creation recently. If you're interested in Darwin and his work, as well as his personal struggles with it vs. the church, that movie is actually pretty good. Deals more on the emotional side of things, I found it quite moving.

now with what is happening in the usa, wisconsin to be exact, more trouble is rising and this is it.
I seem to recall the FDS said two events would mark the end times... 1. government would turn on religion 2. government would proclaim "peace and security!". When those two things happened "then the end would come".
This was 80s/90s when I remember them printing that. Are they still sticking to that, especially the "peace and security proclamation? Doesn't fit with their love of seeing bad things happen in the world. If they enjoy disasters, political turmoil, and planes flying into buildings so much...then when/where is the announcement of "peace and security" going to come?

We are made of Hydrogen and Oxygen and Carbon and many other atoms. ALL of those atoms already existed before you were born and they will continue after you die. We just transform into something else. Now if you believe in Heaven then well I guess the law of nature will have to be modified.

my wife recovered from depression just 14 months ago and things have been going well.....so much so that i started a buisness for her and we are two weeks into it.
my labby was ill vomiting abit of discomfort, i thought great, you ate something bad again!
the vet gave him a shot and sent us home.
Sorry to hear this. I understand having a great dog as your best friend, especially after losing all your "robot witness friends". My golden retriever, Rupert, has helped me thru many tough times over the years. Not looking forward to the day I lose him. (that's him on the left....profile pic)
