Scariest Movie you have ever seen?
by Layla33 ini know as exjws, probably for the most, there was a secret freedom in watching horror films without thinking you would have a demon as a bed buddy.. i am not very fond of every horror movie, but i will watch those that have an intelligent side to it and is not gore for the sake of gore.
like "the ring" got me going when i first watched it, just like "the blair witch project" did, which is more about suspense.
anyway, i never saw any of the saw movies, so i am going to try to watch saw iii tonight, since it is on showtime.

Well said Freeze. Never have liked the shock terror ones...the Scream movies for instance. Rubbish. The ones that get in your head are the best. I'd say The Shining, Seven and Silence of the Lambs are my favorite psychological ones.

You do know online petitions don't do anything right?
Maybe, maybe not, Freeze. Here in Canada (yes, very much not Uganda) I do know online petitions played a big role in stunting Usage Based Billing for Internet service by ISPs. As well in British Columbia with sending Harmonized Sales Tax to a referendum AFTER the provincial gov't implemented it.
Regardless...the one thing guaranteed to do nothing, is doing nothing. As Pams girl said...the petition only takes a minute.

Who is this organization? I signed using my spam email account, but I've never heard of them.
Hadn't heard of them either, Clarinetist. Was alerted to this by a Stephen Fry tweet. Smart using a spam email...I do the same.
This is from the 'About' on that site:Established by former leaders and founders of some of the world’s most successful movement building organizations, All Out will add global people power to the historic fight for LGBT equality. All Out will rapidly respond to moments of crisis and opportunity, so governments, corporations and other institutions with the power to change the lives of LGBT people hear us - in huge numbers. We'll also work to change our families and communities so that LGBT people win not just rights but also come to feel truly embraced wherever they are.
All Out is a project of the Purpose Foundation, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization committed to building movements to address some of the world's most urgent problems. All Out was co-founded by Jeremy Heimans, co-founder of Purpose, and co-founder of Avaaz.org and GetUp.org. All Out co-founder Andre Banks is the Director of Strategy at Purpose and was the former deputy director of ColorofChange.org. All Out is supported by a wonderful group of advisors and activists from around the world.

Just passed 666 posts...
So thought I'd bump this thread. As undercover said, movies don't really "scare" me anymore.
But some of these ones spooked me...- The Shining
- Blair Witch Project
- Event HorizonMOre recently The Descent was freaky...too gory...but was well done.

What say you Christians ???
by wobble init seems to me that most, if not all christians are really hung up on sin and redemption from sin and how naturally evil we all are.. my question, and observation is this : i had nothing to do with whatever you say adam and eve did wrong, i have always, throughout my life, treated whoever i came into contact with compassion, respect and love.. i have lived by the golden rule.. not many people, hand on heart, can say that, i can.. so, is your god going to judge me for the "sin" of some mythical forebears of mine ?
is he going to say that , because i did not believe in him, i willl be judged adversely, even though i lived by the precepts he is supposed to support ?.
all i can say is, if your god is like that, i refuse to worship or acknowledge him.. and i certainly do not want to get to know him.

Unshackled it's funny Chris Penn in that video....Brother to Sean Penn...Most remember his later work ..... Reservoir Dogs..
Charlie...took me a bit to find him watching that video (w/ sound off!). Hard to recognize him in his younger days. He was in True Romance too.
Forgot he died a few years ago. -

I remember asking my parents about 1975. Don't recall their exact responses but it was to the affect of blaming others. What I do remember was feeling like there was an elephant in the room.
Near the end of 1974 my father moved our family from a populated southern area, to a sparsely populated northern town. I always wondered if he did that thinking the end was coming in '75. Thinking being out of populated areas and off the map would be a safer place to ride out the Great Tribulation boogeyman.
I no longer wonder that....fairly certain that was the motive.

(Note...it was a little slow when I went there. Give it 10-20 seconds to load)
From the site:
In the next 72 hours, conservative lawmakers could move a bill that would make being LGBT in Uganda a crime punishable by death. This hateful bill is part of a pattern of the Ugandan government's violent repression of pro-democracy forces within the country - and time is running out to stop it.
Can you please sign and share this petition demanding that Ugandan President Museveni stop the human rights violations by publicly vowing to veto the "Kill the Gays" bill?
