Still don't see any penalty for rejecting Jesus.
But there apparently is a penalty for accepting him: you become a slave to defending him, as well as pushing him on others.
.
hell is pretty much out of vogue these days so if this rabid atheist decidedly turns his back on god and/or christ what will become of me?.

are your activities a happy and a positive one?
do you care to share some thoughts on having an exciting life?
if you do not have a happy life, are you making any plans in making your life exciting?.
Something like this...
after carefully evaluating the my current life situation, i've come to the conclusion that returning to the hall will be best for me.
i simply just don't fit in with the rest of the world.
i don't drink, smoke, have sex, go to clubs, listen to worldly music, watch movies, or gamble.
There is a disconnect there PP. The solution to a bad work environment is going back to the Kingdom Hall? A pile-on-the-pain strategy?
this is the purest example of an oxymoron.
repeat this sentence over and over again and you will realize why it's impossible for some people to accept the big bang model.

The universe isn't like a clockwork watch at all. It's extremely disorganised.
Agreed ballistic. Whenever one claims that the universe full of order they clearly haven't examined our own planet.
Earth is peppered with craters, some measuring kilometres across, from massive meteor impacts. Wiping out life, with some near full extinctions.
AND one will hit again...whether we're here or not.
by no means a new topic for discussion but always worth a fresh airing .
i'd suggest that the 1st century was quite a well documented time.
we have lots of historical evidence for important people who actually existed.
The point is that the historical accuracy of Jesus actually existing is shady at best.
But IF he did exist...how does that somehow conclude that the biblical description of Jesus is accurate? Did he really walk on water? Lay dead for 3 days then resurrect himself? Heck...did he really knock up his own mother to give birth to himself?
What is more likely: those things actually happened? OR a regular dude that stirred up a small group was later used for works of fiction and embellishment?
lately, i have noticed that many suddenly have died or as it is usually expressed, died "unexpectedly" in the local obituaries.. i have come to know of many young people suddenly deciding to kill themselves for whatever reasons.
most that i have known about had either financial or personal issues and sadly, they just gave up.. i wonder if we were suddenly gone, would people take notice?.....
(and don't worry about me.
My dog will miss me up until someone feeds him.

Lucian of Samosata was satirist not a historian.
Tacitus wrote that the belief about Christus is a "pernicious superstition."
In the preface of Antiquities Josephus says that the "history" he is writing about is based on Hebrew scriptures and religious books. Not actual history. SO not only does he mention Jesus, he also recounts the creation story, Adam & Eve, Noah and the Flood, Tower of Babel and other myths.
I got it though....the Shroud of Turin must be proof!
EDIT: Nic, you beat me to it. Repeated the same about the preface.
recently, i have heard several comments during the watchtower study regarding how today's ultra-violent entertainment might actually be "training and preparing people to butcher their own families when the great tribulation hits.
" this rather dystopian thought was also alluded to in several convention talks within the past year or so.. how do you feel about this?
while there is no doubt that explicitly violent media is abundantly available in this day and age, do you feel that this is a plausible conclusion to draw?
I have the esteemed honor of having beaten every GTA game. It is an honor I hold most dear.
Impressive. I have a confession Rev. GTA Falcon....I haven't finished GTA4. Got to about two-thirds done and haven't played in over a year. Wonder how many booty calls I've missed from Niko's girlfriend(s) in that time?

Nicolau....don't you know that atheist's live miserable, pathetic, meaningless lives, full of hate and anger? That's punishment enough you'd think. But you never know....he is a vengeful and jealous god after all.
