i don't want to deceive anyone and i have to clarify a few things so i'm sorry this is going to be a lot more vague then you want.
infact if you do not already realize or also feel something is about to happen as in the title, then move along, it will be a month or 2 before i update this.
it's not my intention to annoy anybody, i am too uncomfortable to post any details because it's too new and i need to verify things, and i am also feeling responsible to give a subtle warning, that it might be something somebody needs to see.
i cant help thinking this thread would have been a lot better if the writer had omitted the "f" out of the word "shift".
i think it would be a good idea if we could get our heads together & think up new ways to extract more money for the society.. .
heres a couple of ideas i had:.
1: charging an admission fee for brothers attending their own kingdom hall.

heres a couple of ideas i had:
1: charging an admission fee for brothers attending their own kingdom hall. despite the fact that many have bought and paid for theirs already.
obviously this would have to be called a "suggestion" from the society.
2: selling pardons. ( this has ancient precedents )
if a brother cant/dont want to attend a meeting--or go out in field service--or deliver a ministry school assignment--or a public talk even: then he can donate a lump sum by way of an atonement. lets see--miss a meeting=$5; miss a min school assignment=$10 fail to show up to deliver the public talk=$100
get the idea? this could rake in $millions.!!
what do you think--any more bright ideas?
our friend, oompa, has passed away.
just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.
it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.
what a waste. i feel somehow dirty that i once was a member of that evil little cult. it wrecks familys--destroys people. i just hope some jw lurkers reading all this GET THE HELL OUT before it happens to them
for me, i think it's that the witnesses teach they are god's spokesman.
they represent his "faithful & discreet slave"....and that they alone are expounders of the only truth and that if you disagree with anything they teach, you are considered worse than vomit.. it's unbelievable because these people are wrong so many times, it cannot be excused!.
as a witness, you must accept every viewpoint and if you (and your family) do not accept it all, hook, line and sinker, you are "apostates"!!!.
1: waking up in the morning
2: looking in the mirror
some avatars and screen names are pretty self explanatory, but some...i can't figure out.
i just wanted to know why you chose your particular screen name and/or avatar.
mine is easy enough.
ive discussed this before--my avatar is a pic i found on google. i also use the name stan livedeath--to go with the avatar. search me on facebook.
if you rearrange stan livedeath you get a well known mythical biblical character.

i never believed that in 1975 or by the end of the 20th century, we would see the great tribulation occur.
some witnesses would listen to fred franz' talks where he clearly told his audience that 1975 was the end of 6000 years and the beginning of the jubilee....or something like that.. was there something that you never truly accepted that you were supposed to believe as a jehovah's witness?.
errr--jehovah ?
i dont remember the date.
or the year or if it was a district or circuit.
what i do remember is that we rode up with a car full of other female witnesses.
yes--a local circuit thing in my home town--late 1980. my then wife had---once again ---coerced/ nagged /seduced me into attending.
however--we sat next to another married couple--friends of ours. later that sunday evening we went to their house. his wife and i started what went on to become a red hot affaire.
my wife never tried to get me to any more meetings. divorced me instead. the rest is history.
