  I saw a trolley (cart to you cousins in the U.S.A.)

  yes.. peterborough city center u.k. ''what does the bible really teach'' displayed on it.. a family of 3 i know were sitting on the bench just behind it.

  i'm not going to say anything derogatory about them as they are nice folks even if they have to shun me now i bear no malice.. as predicted not a single person was paying any attention as they walked by.

  i noticed some other canvassers (non religious), were actively approaching people and handing out leaflets.. on the market i saw the jw charity stall and again not a single soul was interested or even near it.. i'm glad this 'urgent never to be repeated work(tm)' is being vigorously carried out by god's chosen people.

  6-30??---what--in the morning ???

  in fact--why bother "manning" them at all ? they cant cost much--and the litter is free--so--why dont they just turn up--offload cart--fill with mags--and go home. then hours later--return to see if its still there. then count the hours as service.

  hay out there.. wife got back from her thursday meeting & now she's setteled down with the dog, a v large g&t (maid be me) & watching terminator 2 on the telly with her ipad on her lap looking up places to go for our holiday (& googling symptoms of to many antibiotics as my 16 year old is getting signs of ibs).

  so now is a good time to say hello.. well hello.

  my name is phats & i'm an ex jehovah's witness.. there, i've said it.. this must be like it is going to your first aa meeting.. i've already used up some of my posts for a newbe but i'm not in to the whole long story thing.. basically i've been out now for 8 years (mentally out for all but four or five of those years of my life when i made the commitment, got baptized & married.).

  Protect the elderly

  this weeks km is telling elders to arrange for group studies with people in local nursing homes, with instructions on how to word things when speaking to the directors etc.. they are clearly trying to get to people who may not be entirely able to think for themselves or who may lack critical thinking and yet may have money to leave to them.. what can you do?.

  well, if you wanted to, write a short and simple letter or email to your local care home, perhaps directly even speak to the director yourself... warn them about the brainwashing and danger of breaking up of families etc.

  the km says they should identify themselves as jw's... .

  my jw dad is in a care home--the local elders havent been near him in months---only a 90 year old sis he met 40 years ago--she lives nearby. they cant get any cash out of him--ive got legal power of attorney--and handle all his finances. so they would have to come to me for a handout. i cant wait !

  i saw 2 set up yesterday--in the center of the main town here. 1 bro with a straw hat on--it was in the direct sun----and a very attractive sis.

  i cant be sure---but i think 1 cart top banner read--" gods view of smoking 2--?

  next to them was a busker killing a guitar.
