...and yet the wt had this to say:.
so---lets say--for example--man has been on the earth 6000 years ( might be true )---ooooh--leads us to 1975-----spooky
and lets say the millenial reign --1000 years---- is literal
but --what if a creative day is--7 million years or 7000 million years ? kinda takes the urgency off armageddon doesnt it. ?

this 7000 year day was always a big issue to me--back in the 60's. i asked all and sundry about it--even DO Ron Drage at an assembly-----no one could come up with a sensible answer.
fast forward 40 years--i discover the crazy world of ex jw's--and top priority--was to find answers to this------and--lo and behold--i find the cult has quietly dropped this rubbish. finally got the answer.
if this were the "organization" that jesus chose in 1914.. err 1919, wouldn't the principles that he laid out while on earth apply to this organization as well?.
matthew 5:42 "give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.".
so if jw's all asked for loans from the org, every now and then, it would be the orgs responsibility to grant those loans (interest free).
just an idea-----those of you who have faded or left----------if the elders come calling ..asking if you are OK as you havent been at the KH for a while-----
tell them you are broke--and really struggling---then clearly ask them for a loan--to help you out. see how they react------see if they ever come back.

those who know the truth but stay in anyways are complicit in actions of the jehovah witness organization.
while i am sympathetic to the very difficult choices that they have to make, their unwillingness to confront the jw enables the organization.. some of you may remember my story.
so--a question to those reading this--who are still attending the meetings--whilst knowing TTATT--------do you still donate money ?
i must admit i can at times be a little "egotistical" when it comes to knowledge and the bible.
i have studied the bible for so long and have always had a passion for the bible as a jw and as an ex-jw.
i guess that is all i have left when it comes to religion and as humans we do tend to stroke our egos.
the more i read ( many years ago ) of the god of the "old testament"--the more i disliked him. he lost all my respect. just a cold hearted killer.

on a recent thread about the fleecing of the sheeples, one poster said their congo was down to 85 publishers from 102.. the last hall i attended had 80-odd publishers 20 years ago, now only 30.. how much of a decline at your kh?.
i recall--back in the early 70's--a "new" couple started attending--and a lot of fuss was made about them.
but later--after getting to know them a bit--i found out they were both born-ins--who grew up in it---were sensible enough not to get baptised------had a high old time in their teens and twentys---met--shacked up--got married--had a kid------then started to attend because 1975 was awfully close !
i am inactive for about 10 years now..
i resigned in the early 70's--but occasionally attended to keep dub-wife sweet. in january 81 it was announced i was now apostate. never attended since--except for a relatives wedding --in the 90's. that whole family are long out now.
you see them all over the place now, 2 or 3 of them standing near a portable display of bible-based literature, chatting to each other.
counting time.. i've seen them in london, glasgow and cluj (romania).
the portable display is always the same.
i saw 4 dubs round a cart in newport--i o wight UK on wednesday----i must take a photo on my phone next time. then i will smile at them--and say " do you mind if i post this on JWN--?"...and see how they react.
anyone else getting a bit tired of being wetted upon?.
i've sort of had enough already, suede shoes in the rain is not not a good idea.. .
on the plus side, it's fun for fish .
