i realize some people feel they can't just leave the religion.
they have family, friends, position.. some elders mistakenly believe that they might be able to reform the cult from within.
the truth is, the religion is never really going to change.
actually--anyone can leave the cult---on a trial basis--what have they got to lose ?-----oh yeah--armageddon might occur while they are out--and your number's up. yeah--right.
so--why not give it a try--see how you like your life without the cult chains around you.
if you do get shunned--and you miss those "friends" or family---you can always go back---indeed some from this site have. dogs and vomit etc.
i'm quite new to this site, & have realised some members have a union jack symbol under their avatar.

ive thought for some time now----many on this site encourage dubs to leave the religion------but---where do they go ? many people still need their god-fix to help them through their day.
so--here is a golden opportunity for someone to launch an all singing all dancing shiney new fangled religion. even better--give it widespread appeal--think of all those disaffected mormons, scientwotsits--and christ knows who else.
but--give women equal opportunities !-----in fact---why doesnt a woman take up this idea ?
its most likely to start in America---already a great track record in starting sky-pilot outfits.
someone could make a fortune.

there is life outside the organisation, which i have the pleasure to have experienced, since december.
i went to a lovely church wedding saturday, followed by a reception.

friday i met up with my d/f son and his wife--who were attending a wedding in a church ! he really is doing soo well.
saturday was at Nuggets birthday party--- ( now the UK aposta-event of the year !! )-great to meet old friends--and new ones i know from xj facebook sites.

i was recently approached by a couple of borg drones while i was walking my dog, and i thought why not, may plant a seed or two (how wrong was i).
there was no real logic to what they were saying but as i was in the local park the conversation started to veer to how wonderful nature was and how this was the work of a wonderful creator.
i did not let on i was a former witness and let them continue with their fairy tale of creation and how the vast multitude of animals shows a loving god at work blah blah blah...... but i digress, the converastion then turned to how evolution was false.. apparently to earth is only a few thousand years old, so i mentioned about the burgess shale, to be met with blank stares.
i believe that Almighty God created every thing in 7 days---because it says so in his word--the bible.
on my imac laptop i am typing away and suddenly my words appear on a different line, often within the text of an earlier sentence.

ive no source for this, just personal speculation.. * there is a good case to be made that there were female deacons (ministerial servants) in the bible.. * there is a lack of qualified brothers for basic assignments such as microphones, accounts, literature.
in some cases, elders have had to do double duty because of a lack of ministerial servants or qualified brothers.. * women outnumber men in the organization.. * there is supposedly a surprising change coming "down the pipe".. perhaps the only difference between male and female ministerial servants is that women will still not be allowed to teach..
