Interesting conversation with a pioneer today
by ldrnomo ini went into my favorite cafe this afternoon for lunch and saw a husband and wife that go to the congregation i used to go to.
the woman is a pioneer and has been for years and her husband is an elder who i've talked to a couple of times since i stopped going to meetings 3 years ago but i have not talked to her in 3 years.. when i got my lunch, i looked up and noticed them sitting by the window so i went over to them and said hello.
he said hi but when i said hello to the woman she just kinda looked at me.

One thing I did do at that point because I could see how nervous she was, I commended the passion she has for her beliefs and told her that she has been the only person in the congregation who has actually faced me and told me of her displeasure in my leaving the church. I told her I admired her courage and was glad she spoke up to me. I then asked her if I had been rude through this whole conversation she said no. At that point I wanted to eat my lunch so I gave her a hug and shook the gentlemen's hand and said goodby
I think u handled the conversation like a spiritul person and thinking one at that; you handled it loveingly and honestly. she probably loves you and your wife but is pissed you took yourselves away from the congregation.

Change in meeting attendance procedure - can't figure out why though
by sir82 inper a recent letter to elders:.
beginning september 1, there will be a change to the way attendance is recorded at congregation meetings.. currently, attendance is counted at 4 of the 5 meeting (public talk, wt study, congregation "bible" study, and service meeting).. but after sept. 1, meeting attendance will only be taken at 2 of the meetings - during the "first quarter" of the wt study, and also at the cbs.. .
no reason in given for the change in the letter, and i can't figure out why myself.. the numbers are not published anywhere - the only "official" record is a 6 month average the co puts together during his visit.. why request less information from the congregations, especially when it "costs" nothing to accumulate it in the first place?

my thought is in the past one of the older co that been around requested myself who was an elder to take count half way through the meeting each of the for at the hall. Not before the half because the friends are always late and if we count to early which many brothers even with the new direction would still count early. this would make the numbers low because of so many being late. Also when i was in charge of attendants I learned that many brothers realy could not count (ya realy dont think the took it as serious as i did when i was almost a company man.
now the change may be that 1 count just simplifies things and works in the end for all included and probably wont have any real significance in the end.

I read a few books, from Don Camron and hit freeminds, watchtower comments and all the rest basicly. At this point many things I can say i dont believe. Still in to avoid shunning. But if the org is directed first by Jah, then Jesus, then an anointed slave directed by the spirit. it is clear there making mistakes that should not be happening especialy being in print

Me I'm a lover not a fighter, I do enjoy to slow dance. I think im romantic and dont think my wife is. So i recently found a woman who I could slow dace with. She enjoys all the 80's best music as I do. we put on my ipod with 2 headphones connected have a nice drink on the side and slowdance and sing and carrese each other. she allows me to carrese her face massage here head gently kiss her. All while enjoying some of the 80's best slow jams. I wish it last longer.
