It means... I come here for information but I post more on Facebook. My real name is Beth Balagtas Nelson. I set up this page long before I started posting on Facebook.

Mr. Falcon is going GALT!
by Mr. Falcon inraypublisher started this thread: http://www1.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/207626/1/best-way-to-step-down-from-being-a-servant.
it got me thinking, for some wacky reason, of perhaps how i could go about getting relieved of my "privileges".
in the ridicously long-winded novel atlas shrugged by ayn rand, there is a character named john galt.

Mr. Falcon Asks......What's so bad about boxing?
by Mr. Falcon ini love boxing.
it kicks arse all over the place.
although it has lost some of it's prior glory and has waaaay too many classes that are televised and billed as "main events", it's still better than mma (sorry to any mma fans; i actually don't mind ufc, i'm just saying that i prefer traditional boxing).. anywho, what is the deal with jws hating on boxing?

My dad loved boxing even when he was an elder and former Bethelite. If they let brothers burn off testosterone, maybe they wouldn't have so much energy to go postal or beat their wives. Last week that "disater porn" site Jehovah's Witnesses, Vidoes, Tapes, and Illustrations page had a piece called "Call of Duty is it For Christians" Earthy Envoy a JW who I usually think is a royal douche wrote, 'if we don't meet gamers on their own ground how will we reach them' then he went on to say that those who read the Bible might think the Bible is violent. He's still a douche but that was classic! Just imagining JW's turning in COD service time made me laugh out loud! Mad props for that! Even an idiot can sometimes say something worthwhile. :D

In the real world strategic incompetence would work... but really, how incompetent can you be with such menial jobs? Shove a few sisters in the face with the mic? Accidentally slip a pioneer the secret elders book at the literature counter? Lock the bathroom doors from the inside? I personally would like to see Ciro's talk given over the sound system. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ba8TDlVsEsU
I think what six suggested is best. Letting yourself slide a bit in appearance is a big deal to the elders and one they deem worthy of loosing privelidges. I've talked to brothers who were just given crappier jobs like filling the toilet paper... only to freak out after a month and walk out the door. I don't know how many meetings you'd have to flub before a downgrade. :/ I give you guys who can fade so much credit. I couldn't! I couldn't handle ONE MORE counseling or scripture read to me as some token service to my person that really meant nothing to them. I really HATE the Watchtower and all it stands for. They seek to take every last piece of you before you go. If I knew what I knew today, I would have simply stopped going and told them they could call my lawyer who would be present at any judicial hearing! -

"Mentally Diseased" are confirmed as offensive words of hate crime. Help needed, please.
by Amelia Ashton inmy youngest is studying law.
browsing through one of her books i came across a chapter freedom of association.
it covers the well known categories, colour, race, religion, sexuality etc.

I don't think this falls under the first amendment. The first amendment protects speech, but speech that is used to cause potential harm to another human being or group is hate speech.

The Rise of the Conscious Class
by truthseeker in"i believe in one god, and no more; and i hope for happiness beyond this life.
i believe the equality of man, and i believe that religious duties consist in doing justice, loving mercy, and endeavoring to make our fellow-creatures happy.
but, lest it should be supposed that i believe many other things in addition to these, i shall, in the progress of this work, declare the things i do not believe, and my reasons for not believing them.

I give you guys so much credit! I would not have the mental fortitude to hang in there. In 2000 I asked the elders a question and was told, "you are not entitled to answers." I have never, nor will ever have any intention of returning. But, that decision has placed an impenetrable wall between me and family who simply won't hear me. Only those who still have any contact have any chance whatsoever of reaching the minds of those enslaved by the religion and I thank you and pray for your efforts and sanity. :)

I like Glen. Because he is bold and reports on the things others journalists are afraid to touch.
I don't agree with everything he says.
I thinks he is healthy debate for the country.
I thought the rally today was too Churchy. :)
