By dragging this out, any ounce of dignity or credibility you may have had is unravelling further. You could have taken pride in initiating contact with the NSPCC and "testing the water" with them, so to speak. Instead you lambast me for seizing the initiative and contacting them with a view to pursuing a course that you now admit is in both our interests. What a joke!

Some of us go about our business discreetly, especially when trying to open a dialogue between a charity, the police, and an international hacker group. Fool.

Wow. Never realised you were such a big cheese. Good luck with the negotiations. I thought you liked transparency? Apparently not if it involves you. You could have blanked out the names of the key contacts. And you will recall I posted my emails because there was nothing to hide in them. I promised to keep everyone posted and i did. It would have been courteous to at least say do you mind if you do this. And actually if you look at this thread most people here will disagree with your actions even if i think they are right to do so. Well, mostly.

So way to go on making that decision for everyone. I discussed and debated on this thread. Contacted a charity to seek their view. They have contacted the British Police who would only have acted if there was a threat to British Children. This is a US company so they may have informed the US authorities. And so if they did? Like they don't already have people looking at the activities of anonymous and trying to shut them down. Like WTBTS legal have not already been in touch with them about this. Nothing would or will happen. Clearly these folks are better at hacking than the law enforcement people at finding them.

What did you do? Contacted the charity and supposedly the hacker group and the police to make some offer to them that many on this board will clearly disapprove of. Arrogant indeed.

Stop whinging? Good call Cedars. You are not even half as clever as you are handsome looking.

So, in one post he admits that it was my preference all along. In the other he makes it sound like a recent development or "U-turn" on my part, and something he was gunning for all along.
What a fraud.

Cedars you cheeky monkey! You know full well that post 490 was a comment in agreement that the NSPCC would go to the police, not that they should do or that the list should not be handed over to the police. This is completely out of context. 'Little good it will do' is in relation to the fact that the police could not stop this if they wanted to.

The second post is an entirely different post. What made you change your mind by the way from nothing we could do to feeling you can email the NSPCC promising you can deliver this list to the authorities if anonymous is left alone?

Your actions are ignorant Cedars. I'm sorry if you think not but then for you it is clear that the end always justifies the means. Someone who thinks collateral damage that involves families being destroyed is ok is not going to worry about just being rude.

Why have you not posted the email?

I never said I would prefer nothing happened at all. I said they should go right to the top and get stuff that properly implicates the leadership in a cover up. Which I think they are trying to do. I had been arguing that it should not be made public. You are arguing it is better to go straight to the police. It is likely to be of limited value to them but I agree it is certainly better than it being released to the public.

I would feel better if I thought it would make a blind bit of difference and it had been my aim. Ask yourself for one moment why a charity set up to protect children should be concerned about reporting my little email to the police? They are not duty bound to report this sort of illegal behaviour to the police anymore than you or I are. They have passed it on so the police can decide the level of risk (which in their parlence means to children). So if the police think this is a child protection issue they will investigate, if not they will not.

But hey - cedars is on the case now and he apparently is the boss who can shape how anonymous will behave. To the Bat Cave!

Blindnomore - I only contacted the NSPCC to ascertain their opinion on this in response to Cedars saying the findings of their report was not valid. I'm sorry, but it appears that Cedars now agrees that the list is best handed over to the authorities. If you notice I just fobbed them off in my last email saying I could tell them no more than show them the link and was still pushing for an answer as to their position on releasing this sort of list. If you think that either the police can catch them from that public link or that the WTBTS has not already informed the authorities in the USA (what on earth do you think British police are going to do about this?) then you are very naive. Bigger fish have not been able to find them what makes you think our police are going to spend time protecting an american religion?

Traitor? Well, it can join the list of liar, molestor apologiser and molestor that I have been accused of on this thread. It is a wonder I can sleep at night.

Can I just point out that for pretty much 12 pages Cedars and I have argued backwards on forwards on this. Me that the list should not be in the public domain and if it must be released to go to authorities. Cedars that it should be made public. I have been accused of god knows what along the way. Then the guy completely out of the blue jumps on someone I emailed to tell them they can ensure the list goes to the authorities. And tells me thank you for your help.

And you all thought I was a nutter. Blimey.
