i have a query about this section of scripture that deals with shunning and dfing according to the washtowel, bile and trash society.. i tried to speak to a friend on this.

and she came back at me with this and i was stumped.. if i commit a sin against god and am dfed, theni have grossly offended him.

thus jws as friends of god would shun me as i have wronged god.

Mrs Jones- you are so right but Jesus is not sth that many JWs take into consideration.
however, they would say that the adulterous woman was repentant.
Cantleave- i suppose it frustrated me that i couldnt reaosn with her. in my heart i know shunning is wrong but i couldnt fault her reasoning

i am compiling a some misquotes dossier to present to one of my friends on JWs and misquotes. i think it will wake him up to the lies of the WTS. however, i am focusing in on misquotes in the reasoning book. i have the one on the Cross that i came across here on JWN.
however, i have trawled the web and here too and have not come across other misquotes in that publication. anyone come across any other misquotes in the reasoning book?
i am creating a file on reasoning book, trinity brochure and also the latest creation/eveoluton booklets. i know they are all out there with the misquotes on the web but as i am verifying for myself that the misquotes are in fact misquotes, then i cant be accused o being duped by you clever apostates, ;-)

i tried to speak to a friend on this. and she came back at me with this and i was stumped.
if i commit a sin against God and am DFed, theni have grossly offended him. thus JWs as friends of God would shun me as i have wronged God.
she used the analogy of her and her husband. if her husband committed adultery and left her, would i speak to him if i saw him. in order to show support for her and our friendship and the fact that he was wrong, i would ignore him.
that part makes sense to me. i was stumped on that one and couldnt get round it.
any thoughts guys?

Oh Mickey,
it was awful. i had to endure such muck. i didnt comment, i read a scripture but one of the most horrific thing was a "brother" giving out about the RC church and its attitude towards adultery and how disgraceful it is and that "brother" himself was disfellowshipped for very public adultery about four years ago. how awful!
i am dreading two weeks time study. in fact i might not even be around then!
cant believe it has been ten years since 9/11. awful buiness,

New light emerging?

so, just recently ( i believe it was the september 1 wt) there was the thought that only the "incorrigibly wicked" will be destroyed at armageddon.

at the recent visit of the co, several times he brought up the idea that the "great crowd" will be far more people than just the 7m jws on earth today.

all my life i was raised thinking only jws would be the gc, and the other 99.9% of humanity would be fertilizer.

Interesting to look at definition of incorrigible! i wonder what that will mean for the preaching work/ sheep and goats etc

i was an elder, had a true-believing jw wife and our unbaptized publisher children were beginning to feel pressure from other jws to take the plunge.. .
