Challenge to DJeggnog Regarding his Lies.
by Essan ini'm disgusted.
so, i'm formally challenging djeggnog to either substantiate or retract his outrageous claim that:.
1. russell made no predictions about 1914.. 2. specifically, russell never predicted christ's "coming" for 1914.

Come on DJeggnog, your flock awaits an answer. I'm getting bored.
'Diotrephes' is waiting reproof from the self professed "Older Man" and "judge". You've cast yourself as the hero and me as the villain, so, come on,
Hit me!!

Audio: Witnesses dubble talk when confronted with a contradiction in the so called Bible Teach book
by kurtbethel inon page 112 of the bible teach book, in paragraph 16, the society claims this.. second, jehovah has not helped satan to rule this world.
if god were to prevent horrible crimes, for instance, would he.
not, in effect, be supporting the case of the rebels?

This audio teaches a valuable lesson.
You can't win an argument with a stupid person because they don't have the wits to know when they have lost.

Yeah, I know it's difficult. The up side is that it sounds like with some careful planning you could be celebrating Birthdays with this nephew and his mother next year. It would be a shame to blow helping them exit over a birthday card.

What about a telephone call on the day to congratulate him on reaching a pivotal age - minus the formal "Happy Birthday!"? Maybe take him out for coffee. You could then have a card you had already written and say, lightheartedly. "Hey, how would you feel if someone gave you a Birthday card?". If he gives a good reaction, whip out the card. If it's a bad one, don't, but at least you still marked the occasion. If, he's cool about the card but thinks his mother won't be then just tell him to keep it hidden LOL. He's 16, I bet it's not the first thing he's hidden in his room :)

No. Not if he and his family are devout JW's.
If they know you know they don't celebrate and are against Birthdays then giving a card will be seen as offensive. Like knowingly serving pork to an orthodox Jew.
If they are very relaxed JW's they may act polite and thank you, but it may still be awkward and the card will probably be thrown out or put in a drawer when they get home. It won't be displayed. My advice would be pick another day, any day, and give him a nice (non birthday) card and a present as a surprise.

So...is David Splaine the new bible scholar (or Fred Franz) of the WTBTS?
by Joliette inwas watching the faith dvd yesterday, and he seems like a smarty pants know it all?
he doesnt seem like a hard hitter or bad ass or anything, but it seems like the kinda guy, that if you went out in field service with, that he would constantly correct you, and have smart ass comments to make about the householders who arent intrested in owning a watchtower or awake..

Brotherdan said: "They all are and were SO incredibly stuck in this organization! It's crazy! They wanted it to be something divine so bad that I think they just convinced themselves of it...I am truly convinced that they are as captive in this organization as any of the rank and file are. I think everything is justified by them because they don't think that "THEY" are doing anything. It's Jehovah that is directing everything."
Someone or something is running the show, that's for sure, but it's not really the GB and it's certainly not God.
The Egregore called "The Society" now runs the lives of 7 million people and inhabits the minds of Bethel elites and the Governing Body.
Russell gave birth to a Demon and Rutherford suckled and raised it.
Now it's personally in control and possesses it's meat puppets in Bethel, who long ago sacrificed their autonomy and power of reason to it.
Sleep well. Don't have nightmares. :)

Ding, that is the usual defense a JW losing a debate falls back on when discussing the history of failed predictions and false teachings of the Society and it's leaders: "It doesn't matter. I don't care", despite the fact the whole foundational claim of the JW's as "God's Organization" rests on what actually happened in the 1914-1919 period, and the years leading up to it
That's what DJeggnog does too. First he makes various false claims about the history of his Organization, then when he senses these claims are being exposed as fraudulent, he switches to saying "Well, I really don't care what they taught back then anyway, it's not relevant", while still lying about JW history.
If he really didn't care and if it really doesn't matter then what was he going to the trouble of making false claims for, in order to defend the Society?
He knows just as we know that the Society's history of false prophesy and false teachings matters greatly, as it totally disbars them and their followers from qualifying as the "Faithful and Discreet Slave", from qualifying as the "Wise Virgins" and from from being chosen as "God's Organization" - all of which the Society claims occurred in this early period in their history. That is why the Society lies about it's history now, something else DJ flatly denies despite undeniable proof.
Indifference to these crucial facts is the behaviour of an insincere and fake Christian.

I have a hard time hearing JWs defend their Blood Doctrine
by sabastious into me there is no reason to let a child die, even if he/she will be resurrected.. i have some convos with jws about the blood doctrine and it gets my blood boiling!
(no pun intended).. no respect for life.
but i guess that's the point of being a jw, this current life is worthless so dying in it "in the name of jehovah" is more appealing then living it out to the end.. "abstain from blood.
