Would you pose as an "interested one" and "study" to help free my family?

Well, the idea is that nobody moves in order to find a match but that we simply find close enough matches to make it work in enough cases to make it worthwhile. Otherwise, we simply wait until there is a match. People leave in such numbers and ExJW's are so numerous, there are bound to be some matches. Also, this isn't just something that ExJW's would participate in, but also non-JW's with JW family who they wish could be freed from the Org. There are a hell of a lot of those. They may participate too.

In part this is about making use of the phenomena of ExJW's leaving the area and moving to one where they are anonymous among JW's, which happens a lot anyway.

Many of us are EXJws who have left the territory we were JW's in and are unknown to the JW's where we presently live. Others here have never been JW's and are unknown to the JW's in their location. Many of us have family or freinds inside the Org that we want to free, but who will not listen to us or the evidence we want to present.

Is it possible that we could assist each other to help free our family and friends, indirectly, by circumventing their defenses?

I left the JW's and moved away. No JW knows me here.

Imagine a forum was created where people posted threads listing locations where they have JW friends/family that they wanted covertly contacted, naming the congregation and territory. For example "Hi, I'm john I'm an ExJW and I used to live in X and attended the X congregation. I have friends there that I would like exposed to the true history of the Society and the UN scandal. Can anyone here do that for me?"

Imagine that I now live in that congregations territory. I could post, agreeing to go to that hall and pose as an interested one and specifically make contact with the friends/family that I had been informed about in order to start "studying" with them. For example, I might post: "He, I'm Essan. Yeah, I live in that congregations territory. The JW's don't know me here. If you PM or email me the names and a way to ID your friends, such as a photo, then I'll go to the hall posing as an interested one, make contact with them, and ask to study with them. Then I'll use the study to ask questions requiring proof which they will have to research and I'll show them my own research, exposing them to what you want them to see. Sound good?"

And so a covert "study" specifically targeted by request would begin, subtly exposing the JW's in question to info that might well 'wake them up', in a setting in which their defenses are down. Updates could be given as the study progressed from week to week, and the direction of the "questions" raised could be determined by the person who nominated the JW targets, because they know them personally and what issues would affect them most deeply etc.

Also, I would submit the locations of my chosen 'targets' - my friends and family - and wait for another member in that location to agree to covertly contact them on my behalf and do for me what I was doing for someone else. . And so, we'd be doing for each other what we cannot directly do for ourselves.

Who here would want to participate in such a thing?

i'm sure i'm not alone in wishing that there was more we could do to hasten the demise of the wtbts and to speed up the exodus of it's members.

and i'm sure i'm not alone in thinking of possible ways to do this.. one which i have been considering lately is to make use of the fact that many who leave the organization actually leave the area, move away, and start a new life.

Good idea Sizemilk, except that some may not be willing to give their exact location here, because they may have given other details in their posts which, along with a specific location, might allow them to be identified.

That's why I thought a new dedicated forum with new usernames in which only the location and nominated 'target' location is revealed might be more useful. Exact details of the names of 'targets' and even photo identification of them would be by private message/email once someone had said they were in that location and willing to do the job.

But it would take enough people considering it worthwhile before such a site was attempted.

Thanks interested one!

You're the first person who seems to have actually considered the idea I outlined. We already know that the 'undercover study' process works to expose JW's to information they would not have discovered otherwise. All I'm suggesting is that it could be orchestrated and targeted, rather than always random.

It wouldn't even have to be all ExJW's who took part. There may be non-JW's who want their family members freed who could submit them as 'targets' and who would be willing to pose as "Bible Studies" for someone else in return. All they would need is a basic grounding in the issues and sites like JWfacts would arm them perfectly for that.

It could be good fun as well as effective.

My idea would look something like this:

We create a forum for the purpose outlined in the OP. Someone joins, willing to participate, and posts a new thread:

"Hi I'm John, I used to live in X and attended X congregation. I have some friends there who I would like to be exposed to the true history of the Org and the UN Scandal. Are there any EXJws in that territory who are unknown to the congregation who would take this on?"

Someone might reply:

"Yeah, I live in that territory but the JW's here don't know me. Give me the details of your friends and a photo if you have it. I'll go to the hall and attempt to start a study with them. Then I'll ask questions about the Org's history, ask for proof, make them do research and present them with my own research. Sound good?"

And off they go. An undercover targeted 'study' with a specific agenda ensues. Then "John" would agree to do the same for someone else.

That's why I felt that utilizing the JW impulse to study with someone, when their defenses are down, would be useful. I already know some people do this: start studies in order to slowly expose the JW to information they previously did not know, or ask questions which will prompt the JW to do research. It's an effective tactic.

My suggestion is that we simply could develop this into an orchestrated 'targeting system' whereby we specifically target each others nominated family/friends for this process on each others behalf through the exJW community.

Wontleave, do you know what Christ means? It means "anointed one". Don't you get the significance of being "Christian"?

All who are legitimately baptized as "Christians" have "put on Christ" and are "anointed".

" So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise." - Galatians 3:23-29.

The baptism is into Christ, as one, becoming Children of God, adopted as Sons, anointed (or literally 'Christ'). Its says ALL OF YOU WHO WERE BAPTIZED! Not some. There is one baptism, and with that baptism, ONE HOPE.

"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. ... There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism " - Ephesians 4:4,5.

The NT is choc full of such explicit statements, and nothing about an earthly hope for Christians. Nothing.

You clearly care more for your own wishes and your own reasoning than Scripture, which is fine. You should just be honest about it. Right now, you're square in DJeggnogg territory in your approach to this subject.

Wontleave, I'm talking about the entire NT and every single occasion where the hope of Christians is referred to. Anointing is spoken of as if all have it. The hope is explicitly spoken of as single. From the moment that Christianity is established, through every book of the NT, the heavenly hope of anointed Christians is the ONLY hope discussed for Christians. There is nothing else. There is no other type of Christian. It's this, or nothing. Christian, or not.

The Bible never says "not all Christians are called". Never. How can you quote Eph 4:5 "even as YOU were called in the one hope to which YOU were called" and not see that Paul is explicitly stating they were ALL called and ALL have ONE HOPE???

He doesn't say "even as some of you were called to the one hope that some of you have". He speaks for all because the one calling and one hope is what ALL had because that's all there is! All Christians are "called", it's one and the same thing. If you're not "called" it's because you're not suitable to be a Christian. Christian = "called" = "anointed" = heavenly hope. It's indivisible and one.

You hope to live forever on earth. You don't feel 'called'. Cool. You're not called to be Christian and you're not a Christian. Why not be honest about it, rather than twisting the Scriptures?

I hope you get what you want, I really do. And, who knows, you may. But not as a Christian. There is no such thing. The Bible is crystal clear. You'd be better off and perhaps even more likely to get what you want by abandoning this mutant and false 'Christianity' you have constructed for yourself which makes a mockery of the book you claim to follow.
