  But that's the point, they don't speak of them as separate beings. Or can you show me the Scripture which explicitly says "They are separate beings"?

  No? How come? You want that explicitness when it comes to the idea of God and Jesus being One, so how come you aren't consistent?

  What they do is use metaphorical language and limited analogies regarding function which you interpret as literal, then you can't tell when you are interpreting and when you are not. So, for you, "The Scriptures speak of [them]....as separate beings", but that is simply your interpretation. Other interpretations are possible, and, as far as the vast majority of Christians are concerned, are more likely. Now, you don't have to believe as they do, but I think you should at least be more honest with yourself about what is explicitly said an what is your interpretation, and allow for other possibilities.

  Podo, thanks for replying.

  However, you are presenting me again with your own reasoning rather than a Scriptural position for rejecting the very Scriptural idea that the spirit would teach and give knowledge, and that some of this personal revelation could well relate the the nature of God. You're also jumping straight to a rejection of the Trinity rather than sticking to the points under discussion. In short, you just seem to be avoiding discussing the points I made and restating that you reject the Trinity. If I cut out your own rather bizarre, loaded and often unfounded hypotheticals in your reply involving dudes on 'chaise longues', Galatians supposedly awaiting the Messiah (?) etc, then there isn't really anything Scriptural to account for your rejection of the Scriptures I cited. I'd hoped for a bit more of a discussion than that.

  is it possible that god is supporting them even though they (governing body ) lie, because most jw,s are ignorant of the lies told on their behalf, ?.

  when i was a jw i got attacked by the demons bigtime, but not now, and i can only assume that they (demons ) are happy that i am no longer a jw and are now leaving me alone, cant think of any other reason, has god ever supported a group who were similarly found wanting ?.

  Pedal, their preaching of the Kingdom is almost wholly false. In fact, the JW message regarding the Kingdom is so deeply wrong that it alone would DISQUALIFY them from being approved by God.

  Your understanding of the reality of the Good News of the Kingdom versus the false Good News the JW's preach needs some investigation.

  What do the JW's preach?

  That Christians will live on a paradise earth, not go to heaven. FALSE. The only hope offered for Christians in the Scriptures - EVER - is Heaven. There may be a Paradise Earth, but NOT for Christians. So, JW's preach a false good news, a false gospel, one totally different to what Jesus and the 1st century Christians preached.

  They preach that Jesus became King of this Kingdom in 1914. FALSE (I think you know this). They also preached as 'God's promise' that many of those alive in 1914 would DEFINITELY be alive when Armageddon came. FALSE.

  You don't get points from God for preaching a false good news. You get condemned. The Scriptures are clear on this. Or can you tell me what you think is accurate about what the JW's preach about the 'Good News'?

  It's helpful to remember that members of countless other religions have similar demon stories and experiences which they also use as 'evidence' of how this shows they are specially protected/targeted as members of that religion.

  It's nothing unique to the JW's and isn't the evidence of Divine backing that you think it is.

  The reasoning behind the OP seems to be similar to:

  "Since I stopped putting my hand in the fire, the excruciating pain in my hand has stopped. I wonder if that means God wants me to put my hand in the fire again?"

  Only years of mind-control and conditioning by a cult could lead to such illogical mental processes. But we've all been there. We've all been through it.

  If you believe in demons, and experienced what you feel is demon attack while you were a JW but it stopped when you stopped being JW, then why on earth would you assume that this means God approves of the JWs??

  That is extremely twisted logic.

  If you were attacked as a JW but not as a non JW the more obvious explanation is that being a JW opens you up to demon attack, because they are not approved by God, whereas your present non-JW position gives you greater protection, or offers less opportunity to be subtly exposed to demonic thinking and reasoning and influence - otherwise known as the JW Religion.

  IMO it's testimony to the mind-control of the JW's that an IMPROVED CONDITION after leaving them is still interpreted as proof that they are somehow right.

  It's a wee bit insane. But that's mind-control for you.

  can this argument be used by religions like watch tower that often change the slant of their doctrinal interpretations to justify the change?.

  This statement cant be used to defend the Society. It only condemns it.

  If truth never changes, only their view of it changes, then that must mean that their view of it is not Truth.

  So who cares what theirs or anyones 'view' is, because it's not truth, because it's changeable. Everything written in the Society's literature that has changed over time is another proof that what is contained in their literature is not truth, just their 'view'.

  Well we all have 'views', and theirs are no more worthwhile than ours, as history amply demonstrates, so why bother listening to them?

  the night ended with her in tears, telling me i'm going to die.

  Podo, a couple of Scriptures which show Spiritual understanding and knowledge gradually being revealed by Spirit, rather than exclusively by explicit statements of Scripture, are:

  " "And you have an anointing from the holy one, all of you have knowledge... And as for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to be teaching you, but, as the anointing from him is teaching you about all things, and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught you, remain in union with him." - 1 John 2:20, 27.

  What is there possibly to learn by Spirit if it's all explicit in Scripture? If there was something deeply mysterious to be revealed about the nature of God, then it's reasonable that it would be revealed in a Spiritual manner, rather than in a primarily intellectual manner, through the written word. It's reasonable that the written word would merely contain the suitable indications to support what the Spirit directly revealed and clarified. This would easily be missed by those to whom it was not revealed by Spirit, and who were relying wholly on the written word and their power of reason.

  As the Scripture above shows, Christians were to remain "in union with him" in accord with what the spirit revealed to them personally.

  Designs, I believe Podo - whom I'm addressing - believes that the Bible is God's word, not a Catholic fabrication. But s/he can tell me if I'm wrong.
