  the insight book volume 1 page 788 uses matthew 5:22 and acts 10:28 as biblical support for dfing and shunning.. thoughts?

  hopefully someone upload the insight book page here.

  i don't have the means.. i should have said that basically the top paragraph in the insight book is supporting shunning because the israelites shunned the man of the nations and tax collectors?

  my jw sister was over tonight for supper and after a couple of glasses of vino she told me that "today's watchtower study was bullshit" and that one of the 'elite elders' made a comment that bothered her a great deal.. he was apparently at bethel not too long ago and "one of the big-wigs" who was giving a talk said "don't be afraid of dying for the truth brothers" and this jackass was stupid enough to repeat this at the meeting.

  it bothered my sister a great deal and i said to her: "soooo are they going to start passing out the kood-aid or what?

  " she knew exactly what i was talking about and she said "ya, i wondered the same thing.

  it amazes me how much power mind control can have over your emotions, your behavior and thoughts.

  let me explain, apathy has taken over a close family that my wife and i care about.

  the cognitive dissonance within this family is huge.

  Everyone reacts according to their own experience, just be so glad that you can see wt for what it is. The emotions seem to be like a block of ice that melts slowly slowly .......and then.... all that is left is just a faint indentation.

  Seems to have a 'John Wayne' affect to his voice, along with that cocky little lip sneer as he talks out of the side of his mouth!  Tough guy I guess.  The T Morris the Third thing is so pretentious!
