  the (almost) pacificism of the jws was one of the things that attracted me to the witnesses when young.

  i wondered today, when i read this headline:.

  The biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the human family.... took place about 6000 years ago. When a snake spoke to Eve.

  I cracked at that point and am still giggling.

  Oh me too ... not only is this ridiculously childish, but it shows that they still believe that humankind is only 6000yrs old ....omg I am nearly that myself for gods sake !!!!

  If god can order his people to act like a killing machine & slaughter the innocent ...can he not stop doing this? Does he have an unhealthy need to bring catastrophe and spill blood. Is that his way to get enough attention so that he can look all powerful ........wow look what I have done!!

  Nice one Punky ... actually I am surprised I didn't comment on it before haha... When I first started to "study" with jws, and was being pressured to go d2d, I didn't know what I was supposed to say to people. Well, said the one lady, just make something up!!!!! Now that should have stopped me right there!

  When I doubted something in the watchtower, they talked about that it just has the ring of truth tho, doesn't it ! Omg so many dumb things, and of course we picked-up those things and used them to fill in all our weak explanations to people.

  so something i never knew was the fact jw's were taught that jesus is only the mediator for the anointed class and not for everyone.

  i only found this out after reading "crisis of conscience" and i was actually pretty shocked to learn so.

  if that is the case, when they pray why even bother saying the words "in the name of jesus christ we ask"?

  This book I believe has the first mention of "Jesus is only mediator to anointed"! Not for the rest of mankind. Valuable because of that.

  sorry, i messed up before i could put the right title on this new light from our circuit overseer, his visit show's a great desperation in the organization's mindset, adding more anxiety and guilt to jws who already feel they don't measure up!.

  hi, i attended the circuit overseers visit and got really angry because our c.o.

  gave information coming from the governing body's chief apologists regarding "meeting attendance" and "the couple who missed one meeting and lost their entire family because they did not get the "411" when armageddon was coming!

  Help needed

  as many of you on here will know, my sister and myself (along with others we know) were abused by a ms. .

  my first memory as a child was of abuse and i've had and still am suffering from the affects due to mental health problems.

  the abuser is now dead, but he was jailed for abuse of his own son previously so that nest of vipers will have known he was an abuser.

  well, i don't wanna rant too much but sometimes things cut you don't they.. a family member had a get together for the family, jw and non jw and of course i wasn't invited being da'd.. i understand why they couldn't invite me but it just made me think.

  in normal society this wouldn't happen.

  i'd have been there.. the shunning is so unnatural and damaging.

  Agree with you 100% ...........shunning is so damaging & completely RUDE! All it does is repulse me & show me what "loving" family are capable of. I will never trust them again! I might add that I am not da or df;d .
