JC question: Do you accept the FDS as God's organization?
by MrMonroe inmy wife and i had stopped going to meetings in april; in december of that year we travelled interstate and stayed with the witness couple who had "brought me into the truth".
we had already told them we'd quit meetings and there was a certain tension in the air for the first couple of days until sunday morning, when, over a breakfast that eventually lasted several hours, they began to interrogate us about why we had left.
had we been stumbled?

Your post makes much more sense now that we can see it all lol!
I admit, staying with JWs for the weekend must have been a little weird.

You can get free consultations with any divorce atty. Call your city police, they will tell you how. There are phone calls to be made, lots of paperwork, etc.
Being married 10 years, she will go after you for alimony. Would she freak if you talked divorce? Do you still go to meetings?

She sounds like a very unhappy person. Projecting anger and rage against you is a form of relief for her inner anger. What does she yell at you for?
Leaving the JW's is one thing, divorce is another. They sometimes go hand in hand, as in my case.
You seem to be more upset about your marriage right now, so I will comment more on that. Marriage should not be hell to live in. Happiness and peace are completely priceless. If you have kids, it is FAR WORSE for them to observe this. They will grow up thinking that is normal and acceptable. If you do have kids, it is essential you spare them of this abuse by association.
Second, have you been able to speak to her when she is calm? Do you ever have good times? I am sure some will disagree, but I think life is too short to be unhappy for the long term. I am much happier being divorced. Sure I have to pay all of my own bills, and take out my own garbage, shovel my own snow and mow my lawn. But other than that, not much more of a burden other than the whole divorce stress which is very difficult.
pm me if you want to talk. hang in there my friend.

Private Discussion
by besty insimon.
as most people seem to have worked out the private discussion and support part of the forum is not private beyond requiring a username.. today nugget and cantleave are having printouts of their posts in this section being used in evidence at their jc.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/members/private/204436/1/nugget-and-cantleave-are-no-longer-jehovahs-witnesses.
my suggestion is, if its possible, to create an invite-only section of the board for truly private support.. .

I have often wondered that too. The internet is never private. Even 'elders' are supposed to keep things private, do they always? Confidentiality is really uncommon. Arrogant little ass that caused nugget and cantleave trouble!!

Elders who drink too much?
by hoser inin the feb 15 study watchtower pg 29 paragraph 5 it asks"if you choose to drink alcohol you should ask yourself?
if i need to counsel others on this matter do i have freeness of speech?.
when i read between the lines i get this" you elders are drinking too much and no one is listening to you when you tell them to cut back on the booze".

Yes I do. The very one calling me to try and get my status because I had referred to the JW's in a kool-aid context. He and his dear wife are proflic drinkers, or at least were last I had known and witnessed it in my life. They had lots of parties, attended lots of parties, and if it was a dry event, they were definitely not thrilled.
I know he has been counseled before, and the elders turn a blind eye to his wife for various reasons. I really like the guy, but yes, I am afraid he has been on JC many times and he himself has not been without "sin."

Describes how most of us feel
by Kobe in<!-- @page { margin: 2cm } p { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } --> .
for you of those who are unfamiliar of what a messianic hebrew is, a messianic hebrew strives to restore the hebrew roots of our faith, not following the words of man but only the words of god.
a messianic accepts yeshua as the messiah, which most people in the world refer to him a jesus.
