I've been doing well, Garyneal.
Health is good.
I've given some talks at churches and at ex-JW gatherings to alert people to a number of the false teachings and practices of the WT.
i'm not sure if anyone remembers me since i do not post here much anymore.
i sometimes pop in around christmas time to see if anyone is interested in exchanging christmas cards like we used to back when i first posted on this site.
speaking of which, the holiday season will soon be upon us.. if you recall, i was married to a jehovah's witness and i had a daughter i spoke of a lot.

Thanks for the update.
I'm glad to hear that, amidst all the problems, there are still significant positives in your lives.
mandated shunning is on the rise around the world with devastating effects on millions of people.
shunning that is mandated by organized groups to its members is a form of both physical and psychological violence against those people being shunned and cut off from their family and life-long relationships.
mandated shunning means that the shunning is ordered from the top down.
The GB won't allow JWs to improvise.
Independent thinking is dangerous to the borg.
so my mother passed on 20 aug 23 from the big c. i was there when she went.
that was indeed very traumatic.
i won't go to describe it.. dad went 17 years ago so there's just me now.
Very sorry for your loss.
if you don't measure up to the watchtower society ''high standards''... you might lose some ''special privileges'' .
miss meetings...lose ''privileges''.
don't meet the monthly 10 hour ''field service'' ...lose ''privileges''.
When I first attended a meeting at a KH, I noticed the man passing the microphone and I wondered how he got stuck doing that job.
Imagine my surprise when I learned that you had to earn special privileges in order to be the microphone passer.
It reminded me of Tom Sawyer and the great honor his friends had to be able to paint the fence.
“a circuit overseer started out by saying that on this last round of the circuit, the one thing he noticed the most...is that everyone is physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually drained...and that cuts across all barriers and demographics within the truth.
he then said that the one common thread that ran among nearly everyone was this: we feel guilty for feeling bad.
he said because we are told to endure with joy, our minds can cause us to feel enormous guilt over feeling this way...and then, my dear brothers and sisters...he proceeded to blow our collective minds.. he asked us to turn to daniel 8:27….
The WT operates by guilt and fear which can only be overcome by an endless treadmill of works which are never good enough.
hi i want to tell my story and get advice.
i'm a single sister ( in usa) that has been baptized for 20 years.
i came from the world, so did not grow up in the truth and i have no family in the truth -- i am alone.. last year i met a brother & we did have premarital sex while we were dating.
By "disfellowshipping offense," I mean "conduct for which a JW can be disfellowshipped according to Watchtower organization rules."

A Watcher,
I guess we have different definitions of PIMI.
Do the WT authorities (GB, CO, elders) consider whether or not to post here to be a conscience matter?
Wouldn't that be important for a PIMI Jehovah's Witness to know?
Why would you consider seeking their opinion to be "looking for trouble" unless you believe there is a good chance that they would disapprove of what you are doing?
If you truly believe that the elders have been appointed by holy spirit to be spiritual shepherds over the flock, why wouldn't you be willing to submit the question to them and humbly submit to whatever they direct?
Isn't that what a PIMI Jehovah's Witness would do?

A Watcher,
Have you gone to your elders, told them you are posting here, and asked them if that's a DFing offense?
If you haven't, are you willing to do so?
If not, why not?

A Watcher,
How can you consider yourself to be PIMI when you post on this website, knowing that doing so is a disfellowshiping offense?
