  Poignant Statistics Summary for Comment at This Sunday WT Study! (Aug. 3, 2014)

  the watchtower study to be considered this sunday, august 3, 2014 (using the magazine dated may 15, 2014), titled are you moving ahead with jehovahs organization?, in paragraph seven (on pages 27-28), talks about the number of people baptized in recent years:.

  7 where do those making up the great crowd come from?

  they are being brought together because of what jesus foretold as part of the sign of his presence.

  I don't see how baptisms can be used to calculate how many fall away.

  The publishers figure already includes EVERYBODY who got baptized that year, the baptism figure can't be added to the previous publisher figure.

  I started in FS in 1976. I handed in monthly FS reports but did not get baptzed until 1978. But since I was a publisher the 1977 figure included me. In 1978 the publisher figure included me. I got baptized that year as did my brother but you could not ADD that years baptisms to the publisher figure because those getting baptized were already included in the publisher figure. Otherwise you are counting baptized publishers twice.

  So am I missing something?

  Seraphim 23- yes, we are all part of the Human race.

  But you cannot always tell if someone is a Jew simply by appearence. I have had people tell me they thought I" looked" Irish or German or Hungarian while a few said "You look like you should be wearing one of those beanies (Yarmulkes)."

  I have blue eyes and sandy colored hair. My Dad had red hair, same as his Mother, most of my relatives have darker complections.

  My best friend is of mostly Italian ancestry and told me a lot of people told him he "looks Jewish."

  So you cannot always tell by physical characteristics. There is a Jewish stereotype it seems, but most Jews don't fit it.

  I don't consider being Jewish a "race" although our genetic dna is the same as the Israelites.

  But I agree that some (not Jews) consider being Jewish to be a race.

  Some refer to a Hebrew race but there is no such thing as a Hebrew race either!

  If anti-semitism is rising it makes me not only angry but also sad because my sister has always felt that deep down inside all gentiles really hate Jews and I have told her that is not true, only some do. Was I wrong? Do MOST gentiles hate Jews?

  roberto avon- you are correct-

  Hamas keeps firing rockets into Israel and sets up their bases in residential areas near schools, etc, using civilians as shields. Hamas does not care how many people in Gaza are killed.

  Israel needs to defend itself by destroying Hamas' base of operations. But the media plays into Hamas hands by criticizing Israel for attacking Hamas bases.

  Hamas intentionally puts their bases where civilians will be killed. It is not Israel's fault and I am 100% on Israel's side.

  I wish to clarify something said about race and religion.

  I am a Jew as are all of my blood relatives. We have all been born Jews. But that is not our "race"

  Our race is Caucasion. Being a Jew is not a race.

  Most Jews are Jewish but" Jewish" refers to following Judaism.

  Judaism is a religion and non-Jews can convert to Judaism which a small number do. Thus they are considered "Jewish" by practicing Judaism.

  Natural Jews are decended from the Israelites. But being a Jew is not a "race". It is a geneological lineage and heretage.

  with the official letter from the gb to all bodies of elders, a stylized jw.org banner can now be appended to kingdom hall signage.. what an auspicious year this will turn out to be for the organization!!.

  among other outcomes, the "link" with the old, baggage-ridden "watchtower bible & tract society" recedes into the background.

  furthermore, now you don't pretend to need feet trudging door-to-door - your worker is done at the press of a few directed fingers.

  My jw brother always refused to get the internet because the devil is in it!

  I wonder if all of the importance placed on jw.org has caused him to give in.

  But it would not surprise me to find out some witnesses have T-shirts and baseball caps with the jw.org logo made. Notebooks, fridge magnets, etc.

  i seriously don't get it.. some people truly hate`jews.. and it's not just jews.... gays, christians, blacks, mexicans, etc.

  are on the list.. intolerance is a terrible thing..

  In my area Jews are applauding Israel 100%. Hamas must be destroyed.

  The rules for the coming of Messiah seem so strict if he was really coming I would never expect to live to see it!

  I don't think ALL non-Jews are anti-semitic, but I do see it more and more.

  My sister used to tell me that all gentiles really hate Jews. I did not believe it but unfortunatly I see it more and more.

  Israel has the right to defend itself against terrorists. Israel is always under attack by enemies who want it destroyed and the Jews dead.

  I do not know why so many people are Anti-Semitic although ignorance must play a factor in it. The Christian religion has done much to turn people against the Jews.

  I found it rediculous that people would take a Jewish man, Jesus, make him into their God and then hate and persecute other Jews for not worshipping this false messiah/false God Jesus.

  LoisLane- I'm actually very concerned about my health problems and do really feel I may die soon. This year.

  I don't have the strength or memory to write much, so I would not attempt to, and I really would not know what to say!

  I guess most of my posts are very serious, but its due to my circumstances, health and lack of energy.

  lot, and his daughters: producing children by means ofincest, who became his ancestor.

  Jesus was not a descendant of King David through SOLOMON who the Messiah will be.

  Jesus descended through Shealtiel whose line was cursed, Messiah can not come from that line.
