Saying that, and posting (as I have the habit of doing) before reading all coments above - if you have no family or dear friends in the mix then step down for personal reasons - fade - end of story. The fact that you post means that something is tugging your heart strings - maybe I should go back and read all the posts here

Wow, This is Getting Tougher!
by Franklin Massey ini'm having a really hard time giving my meeting parts.
i had a service meeting part this week and i could hardly get through it.
i am no longer convinced of some of the things jws teach and so i try to either eliminate those things from my parts, or reword them so that i'm not speaking about that which i do not personally believe.

Choosing column #2 : Man-up. Take the heat, pressure. Live with the result. Be true to you.
Sometimes the man-up thing to do is the thing that you don't want to(history proves it)!
Some choose to suffer and put up with, and this for the sake of others - their family mostly. Man up and true to yourself - those two sentiments don't always go together.
You are in a tough situation, don't rush anything - what is the hurry? Make slow changes, any changes in your life that you want to make don't have to happen today or tomorrow. Make plans - chill out - tomorrow the sun will rise and..it will set

Prayer, Have an outline in the back cover of your song book, something like this:
Thanks for..meetin...spiritual upbuilding etc
Help us to...put into practice, benefit etc
May your spirit also help...sick..elders..pioneers etc
You get the picture.
I know of a C.O that has an outline in the back of his song book for prayers. If you are in the position that you have to say them at the moment, and it's tough then just stick to an outline!

WTBTS Elder & Ministerial Servant Problems
by JW GoneBad ini attended a recent ministerial servant k m school on the east coast and the main school instructor mentioned among other things (part entitled: 'objective of the km school course') that the total number of ministerial servants is seriously less than it should be.
in times past the ratio of m ss to elders was much more than it is today.. in the u.s. apparently the total number of elders is 88,500+ as opposed to m ss 65,000. the numbers show & numbers don't lie: the society is running out of spiritual men.
the instructor stated that this is a new downward trend that has (in so many words) the society worried.. the next speaker (part entitled: 'why we must be spiritual men') added that in his years as a traveling servant the pool of m ss has always been much, much larger than it is today.

Is Job 1:4 regarding a birthday party
by jwfacts ini have heard it stated before that job 1:4 is referring to job celebrating his children's birthdays.
others have claimed this is not the case.
does anyone have a good explanation of what this scripture is referring to?.

Here is the c.d rom explanation (if your interested) ? I have this issue as well, I have never understood the ban on birthdays.
*** w06 3/15 p. 13 Highlights From the Book of Job ***
Scriptural Questions Answered:
1:4—Did Job’s children observe birthdays? No, they did not. The original-language words for “day” and “birthday” are different, each having its own meaning. (Genesis 40:20) At Job 1:4, the word “day” is used, denoting an interval of time from sunrise to sunset. The seven sons of Job apparently held a seven-day family gathering once a year. As they made the circuit, each son was the host of the banquet held at his house on “his own day.”*** it-1 p. 319 Birthday ***
When Job’s sons “held a banquet at the house of each one on his own day” it should not be supposed that they were celebrating their birthdays. (Job 1:4) “Day” in this verse translates the Hebrew word yohm and refers to a period of time from sunrise to sunset. On the other hand, “birthday” is a compound of the two Hebrew words yohm (day) and hul?le′dheth. The distinction between “day” and one’s birthday may be noted in Genesis 40:20, where both expressions appear: “Now on the third day [yohm] it turned out to be Pharaoh’s birthday [literally, “the day (yohm) of the birth (hul?le′dheth) of Pharaoh”].” So it is certain that Job 1:4 does not refer to a birthday, as is unquestionably the case at Genesis 40:20. It would seem that Job’s seven sons held a family gathering (possibly a spring or harvest festival) and as the feasting made the week-long circuit, each son hosted the banquet in his own house “on his own day.”
