  ....a new website landing page, without any mention whatsoever of the may 21 fiasco.. i guess the bible's guarantee was worth less than the warranty of a used car from a salvage yard..... their tv ad is still live on vimeo, although not in english.

  (may 21, 2011 from family radio on vimeo.).

  anyone involved with web design knows that this transition does not happen overnight - sure the redirects take a second to put in place but the whole new website was prepared in advance....so much for faith, huh?.

  I love how the forum on that website is not a forum at all. Compare that site with the official JW site.

  but i like to read more refutting of everything jw and what not..

  I've Decided That It'll Be Best For Me To Return To The Kingdom Hall.

  after carefully evaluating the my current life situation, i've come to the conclusion that returning to the hall will be best for me.

  i simply just don't fit in with the rest of the world.

  i don't drink, smoke, have sex, go to clubs, listen to worldly music, watch movies, or gamble.

  Join some clubs, volunteer, go do stuff you like. There are people in the "world" who have the same values as you, you just have to go out and find them. You can counter the negative vibes from work without adding the negative vibes from a congregation of JWs. Maybe your experience has been different, but the JWs I knew are some of the least Christ-like people I've ever met.

  Is it really so that every school has a sexy siren lusting after the pimply bookish WT youths? I find it hard to believe...

  How many JW youth, after seeing this drama, will assume something that's not there? I remember interpreting any guy's interest in me as something sexual, even if it was no where near that, and all my JW girl friends did the same. This will just make it that much worse. Poor kids.

  That poor baby!

  Quick question: since I haven't eaten any babies yet does that mean I'm not a "true" atheist? I hear they're tasty, but I just don't think I can do it.

  I am so disappointed. I was looking forward to this new lite being torn to shreds. Piranhas!

  Is this what they're shooting for? I mean, seriously... what's the thinking behind this?

  They're either dumber than previously thought or they had something cooked up and then pulled it at the last minute. If the second, would love to know what and why.

  recently, i have heard several comments during the watchtower study regarding how today's ultra-violent entertainment might actually be "training and preparing people to butcher their own families when the great tribulation hits.

  " this rather dystopian thought was also alluded to in several convention talks within the past year or so.. how do you feel about this?

  while there is no doubt that explicitly violent media is abundantly available in this day and age, do you feel that this is a plausible conclusion to draw?

  yes, the dates are correct, proofs are correct and judgment day came on may 21- but it was an invisible spiritual judgment- the end of the world is still coming on oct 21. harold egbert camping has just explained the truth to the world 5 minutes ago..

  My mother a JW has explained that the bibe warn's us of the sign's to watch out for and they sure have happened/happening - find this pretty scary myself!!!

  The signs in Matthew 24? Those have always happened and will continue to happen. Sometimes it seems like things are getting worse because we instantly hear about everything now due to technology like satellites, cell phones, and the internet. Maybe check the statistics to see if things really are worse and that will calm your fears. JWs have selective sight and memory about these things and a generally distorted view of the world. Personally, I think if any time could be thought of as the Biblical last days it would have been the Dark Ages.

  Here's something a Presbyterian pastor wrote that links William Miller, CT Russell, and Camping. I might have got it from this board too, can't remember. But thanks if that was you! I'm passing around on fb and reddit anything that links the JWs with Camping. Spread the embarassment!

  Family Radio may not be the Watchtower Tract and Bible Society, but it is built on the same wrong-headed interpretations of Scripture, the same date-setting, the same recalculations, the same accusations of complete apostasy, and the same claim to be the last true channel of God's Word. Despite the differences, both are heresy - - the tearing apart of Christ's church.

  Edited: Maybe we should all do this guy a favor and send him the old literature. You know, so he doesn't make the same mistakes.
