we always know when the gb or wt leaders are nervous and worried about potential alleged " threats " to jehovah's witnesses - because they repetitively keep mentioning these perceived " threats " in talks at assemblies or in wt articles constantly.. the " witness only " august 15th wt is no different.

in a non-study article entitled " the internet - making wise use of a global tool " once again the wt society instills doubt and fear into witnesses by " warning " them about use of the internet.

3 " while the internet can provide valuable information, save us time, and serve a useful function, it can also misinform us, consune an inordinate amount of our time, and corrupt us morally.

I was scared shitless the first time I posted on here.....now somedays I question how worth my family is to go thru the hell I am trying to fade. But overall best dam thing in my life was saying Hello Here!

So, how many of you stayed single or childless for the sake of the Kingdom? And how many people in your Hall are single or childless for that reason?

in my hall growing up, i remember 6 childless couples.

some have died, some are still alive.. i stayed single for the kingdom, hope to change that.. presently in my congregation, there are 4 brothers over 30, two over 40, that are single for the kingdom.

and about 10 single sisters over 25.. three of the five married elders have no children.

There is a flip side to this post as well. Those who are mentally IN but are physicaly out leading a life of sin but cant figure it out that it s not the truth,they might not have children because they are living in limbo...they would have to choose a way to raise them.

Growing up a Jehovah's Witness - New Video

i have put together a video - growing up a jehovah's witness 1960 -2010. it aims to show the things a witnesses would be taught as they age over those decades.

it is 15 minutes long.

this is my first attempt at a video and it took a while to work out how to use final cut, so please feel free to make suggestions if anything should be changed.

OMG! My mom just came back from the DC.....like 3 hours ago. I just got the first of many crazed calls, oh dear I need helllllllppppp!!!!!!

bullshit comment in the drama they are trying to make the internet and the word cult, just seem as a regular thing people say about them. like you people dont believe in Jesus...ugh

examine 1 peter 4:14 and john 15:17-21 and consider: can you name any of jehovah's witnesses who has ever been persecuted or reproached on account of the name of jesus?

please think very carefully about what the answer means, in light of plainly stated scripture.. i would love to see a discussion about this that includes comments from jws and apologists.. respectfully,.

The effect we are having on the Watchtower is HUGE

i was inspired by a recent thread i know i aint gunna crumble the wt, but a girl can dream to look at the effect we as individuals are having on the watchtower society.. 3dogs1husband quoted a story to show that even helping only one person is worth it.. it is encouraging to note that the one person you may have helped has lead to millions being helped, due to the power of compounding growth.. compounding growth is well illustrated by the rice on a chessboard problem.

if you start with 1 grain of rice on square one, and double it to 2 on the second, 4 on the third, 8 on the fourth, by the last (64th) square there would be 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 grains of rice.. likewise, if you help one person out of the grip of the watchtower this year, then next year you help one more and they help one, in a few years that is going to have a formidable result on the number of jehovahs witnesses.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this post. Thank you JWfacts for the great breakdown of numbers. I am concerned over the hard line being drawn at this years DC regarding the web and "apostates"but it is a little like getting the toothpaste back in the tub...no?

As much as at times it feels that I am doing nothing, when I think on it just as numbers me and mine equal 5 that no longer attend and support...and I have secretly found a good dozen locally that no longer go as well, and know of more.
