I agree homeschooling has its benefits, you although have to be committed to learning all subjects such as math and English and how to work a computer.education is very vital for survival in the 21st century

52JW's and home schooling?
by semelcred ini don't wish to offend any that are teaching their kids at home, but today i was again confronted by a situation where a jw family were home schooling.
the kids had little structure to their routine and without putting the mum down, she was no teacher in an academic sense.. the subject is close to my heart because my parents who are witnesses, took my younger brothers out of school and home tutored them.
the were subjected to below standard education and limited in social skills, particularly as my parents are crap at these skills themselves.. i have grown to hate home schooling except in the situation of medical or logistical situations.. what are your comments good or bad and do you think the option to home school is abused by the witness community?.

the schools were downstairs, essentially separated from the rest of the kh.
they weren't just happened upon, though.

JW strangers say mean things to you at assemblies?
by jwbot injw's can be rotten, but what about the "brutally honest" jw strangers at assemblies?
i have had some issues with the general meaness jw's are to people that they do not even know, and are jw's.. example 1: i was maybe 13 years old and i was a fast developer, i had big boobs basically.
well a dress i had was really nice...my parents would not have let me wear something that was not apprepriate for me, but i guess the dress was low (i didn't think so) and when i was in the bathroom at the assembly at the mirror, a woman just came up to me and was like "you are showing all the assets you have to offer" or something to that effect.

Not really but thinking back on it. everybody is all hyocritical, it is to quote Catcher in the Rye:"Full of phonies".There is is truly lack of individuality, everybody is all robot like.Afraid to loosen up people are uptight.That is not healthy for anybody especially for children.

American TV sucks
by acolytes inlet me just say i think american t.v is the most entertaining in the world.. i love the citcoms (seinfelt, everybody loves raymond ect ect) i grew up with rawhide, the virginian, star treck, rovkford files, starsky and hutch ect ect.. at the moment iam watching americas got talent (maybe it hasnt) but the shows great entertainment.
then i rememberd when i was in the u.s and how i felt american t.v sucked with all those commercials.. tell me do you have non commercial t.v.in the states?.
how much time is given to commersials with a 22 minute seinfet episode?.

I agree tv today is just plain bad.All you see today is reality television, in where people just fight and curse at one another.Man telvevsion after the 80's and 90 and even the early 2000's like 2001 to 2002 have just downhill.Televsion as I have said before is mindnumbing and painful to watch.I don't even watch tv that much anymore.

I remeber hey arnold and Doug back in 1991 and 1996 man times have changed.What ever happend to good television. Today all the tv shows that children watch today are stupid and mindnumbing. The classic cartoons are the best, nothing like today.

Depression in the Org.
by ssn587 init never seems to be brought up in jah's so wonderful org.
but depression seems rampant, i can name 7-10 people right now on antidepreswsant drugs.

Will of course most of them are depressed.What do you as a JW have to look foward to?Armageddon and the clean up process.Now that would depress anybody no matter who are.
