  dawkins raises a point which some, if not many, theists will dismiss as irrelevant, but i am not exactly sure why.

  Update on my life since I left

  i used to post here a lot a few years ago.

  this forum helped me out of the organisation with my husband and 3 boys.. we are now all more or less out and very happy.. me my husband and my youngest left almost instantly we realised the lie.

  my middle son gave us a little grief at first and then left when he understood what were were saying.

  i am anglican.

  when i lived in new york, the subway was out at the columbia stop and i walked down amerstdam instead of broadway to get to the next stop.

  as i passed this enormous cathedral structure, i saw a sign stating that cesar chavez, the migrant worker leader, and geraldo rivera were preaching the sermon on sunday.

  Aldous Huxley, Brave New World

  i was reading aldous huxley's brave new world and thinking,this is what society is becoming.especially since nowadays people want to be distracted with the use of the internet and social networking sites such as facebook and twitter.i like how it says " what we desire will destroy us" because in the grand scheme of things.

  it most likely will and that is a very disturbing thoought.it is shocking how he wrote the book in 1932 and it was written during the 1920's, all of what he is sayiing is becoming a scary reality..

  How will anyone know when the "Great Tribulation" begins?

  will there be an announcment on the world news saying " a great tribulation has begun in the world" or will the gb send a letter to all the kh's to scare the piss out of everybody saying "we the gb being gods chosen channel of communication have decided that the world's situation seems dire and are pleased to tell you that the great tribulation has started!".

  obviously the world has been in a great tribulation since the time of jesus.

  great tribulation does not mean some event that has to happen all at once all of a sudden.

  this is what the guest speaker was saying at my wife's hall yesterday.

  she and i was babysitting our niece and since she had three kids going to the hall with her (including my two daughters) i figured i'd go with her to help out.

  they were rambuctious and wild to say the least.. while i was in the hallway with my youngest daughter, i continued to listen to the speaker talk.

  I understand the pressure.I was 16 yrs old and I was always getting pressured to get baptized for the sake of my soul.Did not Jesus say my load is light and my yoke is kindly.But not if your a witness.

  i have witness friends telling me, that this is the end right now!

  that this globel issue of the nations of egypt, libya and others ... is the sign they looked for.

  now with what is happening in the usa, wisconsin to be exact, more trouble is rising and this is it.

  i was a junior borgite in 1975. i remeber looking at the calendar at work in october and thinking: 'armageddon isn't here yet.....and it doesn't feel like it will be here anytime soon either!'.

  i was surprised that jehovah hadn't obeyed the superior command to bring the big 'a' as instructed to him by fred franz.

  how dare god disobey the jw leader!!!!!.

  I remeber the fear and hype of 9/11 many in my Kingdom hall were saying how this oculd be it.I used to have nughtmares of Army tanks invading my street and people being shot and all hell breaking loose.2001-2004 was crazy year for me and of course 2008 the year I left.Now I look back and think man I was scared of Armageddon which never came.One brother told when I was younger in 2001 that this syestem of things would not last four years.well here we are many years later and no Armageddon
