  I agree blond-moment that in the end you ended up feeling sad and empty and realizing that these people do not have the truth. I started feeling that way by 14 yrs of age.

  I sometimes think about a few people that I liked but not the organization as a whole. Not really I did grow up with this religion so getting the Jw out of my syestem is taking time. I have not been to a KH since 2008 and it feels good. The witness as a whole I can do without.

  my wife and i are finishing reading an excellent book titled " deep healing " by emmett e. miller, m. d. the essence of this book is showing how our mind and body works in synchronicity with our mental health affecting our physical well being.. he also addresses the issue of how " group mentality " or peer pressure can influence seemingly " normal " people to totally ignore reality and allow a " group " of people to coerce them into believing an untruth.

  this experiment was conducted in a college by psychology professors .

  Television shows that you could not watch.

  stealing someone elses thread about music..... what were some of the television shows that you thought were just too horrible to think of watching, or were conseled on watching?.

  i got reamed out for watching the simpsons.

  i just laughed at the ms who freaked on me.

  the witness came to my house on jan 8 2011 it was completely unannounced.i just wush they would leave us alone.

  two witness came my house and we discussed evolution and they tried to make me see things from their perspective but now I cannot so fooled. So I wll read the magazines and when they come back I will try to refute them.List any questions you think I should ask? this would help in my defense although I think I put up a very good arguement.

  i haven't attended the meetings on a regular basis,since about 2008. a meeting period in about 2 years.. .

  probably 6 months ago i ran into a brother, whom was working at a local grocery store.

  he was making a delivery as a vendor,somehow we got to talking,religion came up and he found out i am a jw, though i told hime i no longer attend.

  But yes this whole WW3 idea is nuts, we live in more peaceful times then we did 40 to 60 yrs ago.plus if you are living in the U.S or Europe or Canada you are doing far better then those that are living in countries with civil unrest and mass famine.In a sense their is tribulation in countries such as Sudan and Nigeria which many in the countries I just listed are in situations we cannot even begin to understand.Despite all that, their are food aids helping them out. SO yes things are better today way better.

  The person I was talking to said and quote " Have you heard about Syria, I said yes I have and the person said we might not have a world next year" I said you really should worry about such things, you cannot live like that it is not healthy for a person to think like that all the time.

  No wonder these people have anxiety and depression issues.I am glad to be out of that mess.

  I see it also, a witness I once knew recently kept telling me we might have WW3 next year.I just ignore stupid comments like that.
