there is most definitely a minority, mostly silent, of devoted jehovah's witnesses present, too, but their contribution to the dialogue and dynamic of the board is minimal.
that small minority aside, it can be said the people who venture into here to communicate with one another share a common paradigm, and that is the watchtower is built on a foundation of clay.

I feel like a coward weakling. Not like a man. It doesn't feel good.
by easyreader1970 ini'm trying to figure out a way to deal with these feelings of cowardice, worthlessness, unmanliness, etc.. i'm not afraid of anyone or even what would happen to me (nothing), but i do not want to witness the utter destruction of my family.
so i shut up and go along.
i am often reminded of the scene in ben hur when charleton heston's bravery is threatened with the loss of his family.

you and the family enjoys in relation to the WTBTS routine?

Mother-in-law sending me dvd...need input
by TweetieBird inmy mother-in-law called me today and said that she is sending us a dvd that came out at summer convention about the history of the organization and why it is "being used by jehovah".
she asked if we would watch it cause she knows that we don't think wts is being used by god.
i told her that we would watch it and send back to her.

The organisation wants our money
by Heartofaboy inhas anyone heard that at the end of the theocratic service meeting last night the organisation asked for money, pensions, properties, shares, insurance policies in fact anything of any financial value?.

I have seen this in Watchtower Study Edition I think last year or so.
WTBTS does not want to consider themselves to be apart of the world, but will enjoy the fruit that comes with the world.

jw sheperding calls
by Borgdrone inrecently i have been approached by an elder and asked if i could get going again in the door to door preaching activity due to not having any time in for three months.
i told him it was due to health reasons, etc.
now it seems i am due for a sheperding call in the very near future.

Aquest- if you are an example of what it means to have 'Truth in Christ'----then I can see how some have disdain for Christianity.
I for one have an affinity for Christ's teachings,.......however, it would be tough for me to accept you as one of his representatives.
Without question you are affable and you chose your words wisely, this is appreciated.
I have read your post over the couple of month prior to becoming a member and it doesn't hold a candle to Jesus's teaching, and that may derive from you being infatuated with your disposition.
If anything, please don't consider this to be religious persecution. (I understand how important martyrdom is for some).
Are you the outcome of what it mean to put on the new personality?
