According to the Watchtower Society, spiritual Israel (the annointed remnant) was delivered from Babylonish captivity in 1919, and under the guidance of Jehovah's spirit was cleansed. See Watchtower Sept. 15, 1988, page 15. But, ask yourself exactly what was it that was cleansed? Absolutely nothing! They still used the Cross, they still celebrated holidays, including Christmas. They still distributed the Finished Mystery. They still believed Russell was the "faithful and discreet slave," and no one could come to Bible truth without using his writings. They still believed that the Great Pyramid was Jehovah's stone witness. The booklet Millions Now Living Will Never Die in 1920 proclaimed that 1925 would mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and other faithful prophets of old. This belief was not corrected until 1950. And it took them 100 years to identify the generation of Matt. 24:34 "correctly."

Our own blood circulates freely within the veins of our bodies. If transfused blood is supposed to be feeding, what about our own blood without transfusions? It is preposterous to believe that the purpose of the circulatory system is to feed us. If it were, then Jehovah Himself would not be upholding His law of us not eating blood. After all, that's the way He designed us.

this is definitely not a thing where media is paying more attention, they are definitely on the rise.

too bad the gb didn't think of foretelling that years ago haha.

i have only 2 theories, 1 is perhaps it's due to pesticides and acid rain, and if that is the case, then it will get real bad.

Here in Florida sinkholes have been occurring for eons. The whole state has lots of sand and lots of limestone and lots of rain which causes erosion and either gradual or sudden collapses of ground. There are several sinkholes in Leon County, where I live. We even have a lake here, Lake Jackson, which periodically drains and disappears. It takes a long time for the rains to replenish it. I think we hear more about sinkholes now because we have an increase in population and instant communication, but I think it is debatable as to whether they are on the increase in Florida.

It must have been an issue at one time. The Informant of July, 1938, p. 20 contains an article entitled "Allegiance and Citizenship"

It states:

"The Society receives many letters concerning the subject of allegiance and citizenship. Many of the brothers ask: Shall I take out citizenship papers?

The taking out of citizenship papers is a personal matter. It is not the province of the Society to say whether you should or should not apply for citizenship. All should decide for themselves.

Is it wrong to take the oath of allegiance to this country? Taking the oath of allegiance means that one renounces his obligations of citizenship to the country of which he had been a subject, and assumes the obligations of a citizen of this country. Allegiance to a country is not incompatible with Christianity. Paul was a citizen of the Roman empire and claimed his rights as such. He therefore recognized his obligations as a citizen. Natural-born citizens owe the duties of citizenship, and no Christian is required to renounce such citizenship. We see no reason why one desiring to assume citizenship in this country should not take the oath of allegiance.

Those applying for citizenship are asked the question: "Are you willing to bear arms in defense of the country?" A Christian will obey the law of God which prohibits the killing of one's fellow men. The Israelites engaged in war because God so commanded them. Such warfare was righteous because approved and directed by Jehovah God. Therefore, if a Christian answers the question about bearing arms, "Yes." he should qualify it by saying, "Yes, if there is any war commanded by Jehovah, or in the proper defense of one's person or property."
